Butterflies Galore

Last week WeCraftCards Forum hosted its annual June Crop, this year it's named Musical Mania. Yesterday I was able to make cards to enter into the Crops four challenges, here are my final two. One of the Thursday challenges was named "Wicked" and the goal was to make a card that includes shades of green, with only a little black or white [the base and accents.]
For my card, I used a wonderful image from the "Keep Calm and Color- Tranquil Trees Coloring Book" that is available for purchase HERE. [I'd signed up for a weekly newsletter a while ago from Dover Publications and have appreciated that is offers links to a half dozen coloring books and activity books, each offering 4-5 pages that are available for a short time as free downloads. I accessed this freebie HERE. [If it is not available to you as a download, sign up for the sampler newsletter to start getting your own treasures.] I colored the butterflies with Spectrum Noir markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. The sentiment on the front of the card is from We Are 3 digital sentiment set named Dreams. [You can find it HERE for just $1.50.]  The inside sentiment is from a digital set from Imagine That named "Airplanes." You can find it HERE.
Am entering this into a few challenges including Outlaws Saturday Challenge Songs and Rhymes "Saturday In the Park" [there are lots of trees, and sometimes lots of butterflies in most parks.]

Entered into:
We Craft Cards Monday Challenge- Thursday- Wicked, the Musical
Word Art Wednesday Challenge- #390-#391 Anything Goes

The Sisterhood of Crafters- Three B's (birds, bees, butterflies - use any or all)

Outlawz Challenges- Monday Greeting Challenge- Wings, Butterflies, Bugs
Outlawz Challenges- Songs and Rhymes- Saturday in the Park

My final entry for the WeCraftCards Crop hosted its annual June Crop is for Friday's Challenge named "Lion King." The card needed to include an African Animal, and I used a wonderful image from Di's Digital Images named Animal Tower that features TWO of them. You can find the digi HERE. I colored the digi with Spectrum Noir markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. The sentiment on the inside of the card is from We Are 3 digital sentiment set named Harvest. [You can find it HERE for just $1.50.] The sentiment on the front of the card is a freebie from Desert Diva. You can find it HERE.

I made my final card for this post for the current Butterfly Challenge named Letter G for Gate Fold. I upcycled an old wedding card [and by old, I mean from the 1970s. I worked at a card shop during high school and started collecting cards way back then. Most cost 25- 35 cents so I built up a nice collection. I found a box of these gems recently in a box when cleaning a closet… and just had to use a few of them. This is the first one that I upcycled.]
I added a few butterflies in "Granny Smith Green" [from the Butterfly tree that I used on the other card in this post] to meet one of the color requirements for the Butterfly Challenge. I also met the theme requirement by adding butterflies AND I made a gate fold card. The sentiments on the front and inside of the card are from a We Are 3 digital sentiment set named Dreams. [You can find it HERE for just $1.50.]
