Tiddlyinks Part 2

My second entry, a gatefold card, for the Tiddlyinks monthly challenge involved being creative with their free digi named Luggage in order to fit into the Halloween theme.  This one took a lot of work, but I like the results. Printed off and colored the stack of luggage with my Spectrum Nior markers. Also created and printed off a "packing list" of misc. items that would be used for some Halloween mischief. Then, used scraps of acetate to create jars for the mermaid scales, octopus ink, Ogre snot and eyes of Newt (made these last items by printing a line of dots on cardstock and punching them out with a small paper punch. And, that bottle is "corked" with real cork. I cut a thin strip and rolled it up to make a... well... a cork! I made a second one and used it in the vial of Orgre snot resting against the teal hat box on the top of the luggage pile.) Added some crow feathers (cut from a real crow feather), plus cut a thin strip of gauze and rolled it into balls to place next to the ink jar. Finished off the inside of the card with a favorite little digi, "Eeeek!" from createwithtlc.blogspot.com plus a spooky spider from Hero Arts.  (I provided photos from two angles plus a close up to show the details of the little jars.)

Another Tiddlyinks card to enter into the WCMD challenge, Flower category. I used the sweet image "Awww Thanks", enlarged to cover a large portion of the card. I paper pieced her shirt to match the frame around the sentiment.

My final Tiddlyinks card to enter into the WCCMD challenge, Anything Goes category. I used the cute image and sentiment from "Cookie Bug and Extras" set. Drew some 'veins' into her wings with a sparkly gel pen, then added additional glitter to give her some bling! Oh... and the blue denim colored background is actually upcycled from a tissue box. Loved the swirls and distressed look of the print and just had to put it to good use!

  1. Wow, wow, wow! I am really impressed with your skills here! I love what you did with the first card that you entered into our "walk on the dark side" challenge. It really is brilliant and I could not give over how many thoughtful details you included. From using real cork to real crow feathers, this card just screams with amazing texture and interesting components. I love how you divided the elements where it unfolds, too. Such a clever structure and it's filled with such wonderful whimsical things like the packing list. This is amazing in every way and I'm so glad you took the time to share your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! I'll be smiling about this card for a long time! It's fabulous!
