Lovin' me some NBUS!

I have more than a dozen old roller stamps from SU that I never used. Recently found instructions on Pinterest for turning them into stamps that I can use with my MISTI. Was much easier to get a nice image this way. Am slowly converting them over to border stamps. This is the latest one I've converted… and it’s the first time it's been used at all. (Did I mention that I bought a bunch of them on sale when SU sold out… and had not used any of them? Am so glad to finally make a card from this one which allows me to enter it into the challenge titled NBUS, or  "never before used schtuff"!)

Have loved this sweet Tiddly Inks stamp since winning it a few months ago.  Isn't little Wryn adorable? Found the sentiment on Pinterest and thought it was a perfect match for the little leaf plunderer and her furry sidekick! Am entering it into several Autumn themed challenges. The Victorine Stamps challenge is called "Harvest." Leaves might not usually fit into that, but I can attest to the hours of work harvesting (raking!) the fallen leaves so that we could jump in the tall piles. Such fun!

My final card for this posting was created for a CAS challenge at AAA Cards. The card with a few layers of cardstock, white pigment ink, a small Hero Arts stamp, a button, and bit of embroider floss went together very quickly. So I made a second!

  9. Did you just change your blog since yesterday, Kathy? I swear I looked for a follow button and it wasn't there! I must be going blind from all my commenting, lol! Curious what part of the Midwest you're from? I just got back from visiting my sisters in Iowa where I grew up.

But that's not why you called! Your three cards are all superb and excellent for the challenges! I love your new border stamp! You know, those wheels were the only thing that I didn't get into from SU and I'm so pleased that they can now be border stamps for everyone who wants to do that with them! And good for you for doing it and getting them inky! It's really a darling Christmas card! Thank you so much for playing again in my NBUS Challenge #12! Hugs, Darnell

    1. Darnell, I didn't just change my follower blog... except that you are now on it! And, I currently live in Wisconsin, but grew up mainly in Iowa and South Dakota. So... a Midwest Plains girl. Kinda like Laura Wilder but a little bit younger! Am glad I found your blog. Have a feeling that I'll be a regular!
