I love, love, love
fall. So had fun last weekend making several fall themed cards. Finally have a
chance to share them. For the first, I used a sweet image from Di's Digi Stamps named "Peace on the Prairie" [now available for just $1.00] and am entering it into Di's current challenge. Colored the Native Princess and her furry
friends with Spectrum Nior markers, fussy cut them and set out to decide on a
background. Couldn't find a stamp or background paper that fit my fancy, then
remembered my stash of upcycled calendar pages. That is where I found the
perfect fit. Softened it a bit with a bit of vellum that I attached by cutting
slits into the background and slipping the vellum corners underneath. Then
adhered the trio of watchers. Finished the card with a beautiful butterfly. And
added a second butterfly to the inside sentiment [which is from a Whimsy stamp
digi set named "Vintage Sentiments."] Am entering this card into a
few other challenges including the Butterfly Challenge where the card follows
two of the "Letter A" requirements, color s[apricot and azure in the
background and images] plus theme [add layering] and the Cutie Pie Challenge
that requires shades of Autumn colors plus the card must be cute. What isn't
cuter than a little trio of friends?

The current Creative Confetti at PowerPoppy is named "Designing in
the Dark." It requires that the background be darker in tone. I decided
use Power Poppy's beautiful set named "Maize for Days." Printed the
ears of corn on Kraft brown paper and colored them with watercolor pencils,
plus added a bit of white gel pen to add realism to the kernels of corn and
berries.

For this card, I used
an adorable digi image named "Harvest Raccoon" from Little Scraps of
Heaven. (You can find the image here, in a set with several others, and now on
sale for just $1! www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com)
I made a circle card and used a harvest photo from an upcycled calendar page
for the background. Colored the sweet little image with Spectrum Noir markers
and white gel pen, fussy-cut and attached him to a circle card. [The background
kind of overwhelmed the image so I layered a circle of vellum behind him. The
sentiment is a freebie from TLC Creations (createwithtlc.blogspot.com)
Am entering this into a
few challenged including The Paper Shelter that requires a sentiment and the
current mood board at SumMoreFun that features harvest scenes.
