For this week's challenge at QKR Stampede, I used three Eureka digi images (ES-digi5002-Boy Balloon Holder, ES-digi7954-bear balloon and ES-digi20202-Beary Special) that you can find on stamponit.net. I had a large envelope in my stash, made a card that would fit into it from an upcycled white file folder and then adhered cloud background paper. Printed the Boy Balloon Holder image onto white cardstock, cropping and then enlarging the image [being able to do this is one of the reasons that I love digis]. Colored him with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, fussy-cut and set him aside.
Printed the Bear Balloon on kraft brown cardstock, added shading and highlights with colored pencils. Then used a fine-line black Sharpie Marker to darken his nose, mouth, and eyes. Fussy cut the bear balloon and tied a bit of black cording from my small jewelry making stash. I then positioned the boy and balloon on the front of the card and, after determining the best layout, attached the balloon with a foam tape squares. [I layered a few of the squares to make the balloon pop up a bit more on the card. Before attaching the boy with foam tape, I flipped the image over, punched a small hole in his left hand and slipped the black cord through it. Flipped the image over, checked the placement and then adhered him to the card. Printed the inside sentiment and adhered it to a few scraps of paper to match the front of the card. So fun!

I had fun making this card for the current Bugaboo "Make Us Smile" challenge. Used an old wood mount Stampin' Up! Stamp. [it was one of the first sets I bought, so is 18 to 20 years old. Colored the image with chalks and trimmed it with a Fiskars deckle edge scissors. Then upcycled a few Hershey's kiss foils and tags, and spent some time clipping letters from an old magazine for the sentiment, or should I say ransom note. [Learned that this takes quite a bit of time. So… after I laid out the sentiment, I scanned it so that I can use the colored copy in the future instead of having to slowly piece the sentiment together. And, because I kept losing the little letters when crafting the sentiment, I attached the letters to strips of white cardstock so that they would stay put.]

For this card, I used an adorable digi image from
Little Scraps of Heaven. (You can find the image here www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com/Item_1042/Love-Bots.htm) in a set with several others, and now on sale for just $1! I fussy-cut the sweet little bot from brushed metallic silver cardstock. The
"chestplate" (my husband called it "a Robot 6 pack" or in
this case a 4 pack!) is made with a scrap of wide metallic ribbon that I found
in the clearance bin at JoAnne's for 25¢ per yard. I punched the star from some
aqua glitter paper, layered a few star shaped scraps of paper behind it. The
background design is printed on regular copy paper using a free digi that I
found here- www.papercraftinspirationsmagazine.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/pin81.free_papers3.pdf The sentiment is an old
rubber stamp from Printworks.
