Stars & Snowflakes

My DT card for this week's QKR Stampede Challenge, features the QKR Snuggled Up digi stamp (Q-digi9210.) I had fun coloring the sweet image, then fussy-cutting and attaching him to a window front card that was backed with starry sky scrapbook paper. I populated the sky with a few more stars drawn with a white gel pen. I love how the inside sentiment also from QKR (Catch Your Dreams(Q-digi10203) fits so beautifully with the sweet image on the front.

My second card also has a magical feeling to it… this time with snowflakes instead of stars. I adore the sweet image from Scribbles named Snow Kisses that is new to my collection (I recently won it through a Challenge at Outlawz!) I colored the image, used a circle template from my scrapbook stash to fashion the image into a circle (I employ this technique quite often when I don’t want to fussy cut an image that would require a lot of fragile cutting)  I added a circle of black paper behind the circle, then perched it between the snowflake borders (which were actually fussy cut from a Christmas letter we received last month!) I embellished the card with a few punched snowflakes and a bit of bling on the snowman… and voilĂ ! The card front is done. I wasn’t sure what sentiment to use on the inside… until I found this wonderful sentiment in my digi collection. I love, love, love how it reflects the look on the snowman’s face. So precious! I have a feeling that  his little penguin friend will soon also feel pretty happy. Am entering this into several cards, including the  Path of Positivity Challenge (my character traits that the image projects are kindness, friendship and joyous!)
