June 13- (Wednesday)

The Wednesday Challenge at wecraftcards is to make a card that includes an iris fold. I found an idea on Pinterest that worked perfectly with a digi image that I purchased a while ago. The digi is called “You and Me” and can be found here- http://www.tiddlyinks.com

I used strips of shimmery gift wrap for the iris folds. Gave a wonderfully precise edge.
Am also entering the card in this weeks Simon Says Monday Challenge called touchy feely. The gift wrap has a bit of a texture, the folds are crisp, and the veil just begs to be patted into place as does the groom's sweet little bow tie!

Also, the creator of this amazing image, Christy Croll, just put out a call for new Design Team members for Tiddly Inks.
I'm entering this card for consideration. So want to provide you with a few details about this amazing artist and company.

If you've never visited Tiddly Inks, you are missing out on amazing images, great sentiments (cute, sweet, touching, funny and punny!) They carry both digi images and clear stamps, plus a nice selection of free digis. Over the past year I find myself using more and more digis... and love it!

If you have never used a digi image for card making, here are a few reasons you might want to give it a try-  1) Digis are inexpensive, 2) you can adjust the size to fit your need, 3) there are no issues with storage and 4) they are so easy to use. Just download to your computer,  adjust to size, print off and cut, color, embellish to your hearts desire!

Stop on over to Tiddly Inks blog to see their challenges and many free tutorials. (tiddlyinkschallenge.blogspot.com) or the store to see the large assortment of digis and clear stamps. (tiddlyinks.com)

When I first started stamping back in 1998 I was fascinated with embossing. It still feels a little magical to me, and seems to always have a nice wow factor! So was fun to see this week's Wednesday SS challenge is called “Emboss It.” I know that there are a few anniversaries coming up later this month, so decided to use my favorite PSX stamp (also from 1998!)

Using up more of my patterned papers. Found this idea with flipped squares on Pinterest. My first card has shades of brown color scheme.
