myasperations 8-20-24

For this month’s Anything Goes challenge at Sheepski Designs my DT card features a beautiful scene featuring a digi named “Sunflowers” by artist/owner Andrea Norris. I grew up in South Dakota, where the fall was ablaze with fields of sunflowers, a popular seed crop.  It always amazed me how the flowers literally moved with the sun. Their “faces” slowly (almost magically!) turned from east to west during the day. Many of them were the size of dinner plates. For me, the thing that heralds the end of summer is miles of brilliant sunflower fields!
PS- Stop by Sheepski Designs to learn more about the monthly challenges. Maybe you’ll be inspired to enter a card or two yourself and have a chance to win some wonderful digis created by artist Andrea Norris!

I was born during the 1950s when Elvis was King, so this sweet digi from The Paper Shelter resonates with me.  I just love that cute little Elvis teddy bear with his leather jacket, poufy hair and sideburns!
The free sheet music is from one of my often-used sites. And the red heart is cut from I cut from a scrap of red plastic file folder. (If you follow my blog, you’ll know I often use these wonderful items quite often. Sometimes called document file folders, they come in a pack of assorted colors and can be found in the office supply section of most stores. They're cheaper than colored vellum and more translucent. Punches and dies don’t work on these sheets, but they are easy to cut with sharp scissors. You can also use templates or stencils to trace shapes onto them with a permanent fine line marker.)

  1. ❤️❤️❤️ Both of these cards are fantastic! Great use of the plastic file folder; I'll have to stop by the dollar store & pick up a few of those. The little "50's" girl with the backdrop is darling. The use of the black photo corners is the perfect detail. Hope you have a great week!
