I’ve been out of town most of the week, so am getting these back-to-school
cards entered into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge before it closes in a few
hours.
This first
card features a sweet digital image I found years ago when I was making
scrapbooks for wedding and baby gifts. Talented scrapbook artist, Tricia Moore,
has a great web-shop named Little Scraps of Heaven. Although the digi I
used is no longer available, Tricia has hundreds of digis, cut files, and sets
(complete with images, sentiments and papers) from which to choose. And right
now ALL of them (including sets that usually sell for $6) are on sale for just
$1.50! Stop in here to check them out! I’m entering this card into several challenges including Passion for Markers: Add a Sentiment (the sticker sentiment on top is a little hard to decipher in the photo, but it says "I💓 School." The cute little panda is hand-colored with alcohol markers and a white gel pen.)
Supplies:
· Digi- Panda with Pencil (retired) from Little
Scraps of Heaven
·
Colored with Spectrum
Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·
Star patterned paper, School-themed stickers, and all other items from
my stash.

This second card was created with items from my stash, including a cute little teacher rubber stamp that a friend gifted to me in the late '80s. I stamped, colored and fussy-cut the image then attached a magnet to the back to create a little teacher gift!
I used an old lettering stencil and scraps of patterned papers to
create the “TEACH” label. To draw attention to the school-themed items, I cut a
heart shape into a scrap of lavender vellum. When placed beneath the theme items, the sheet music still shows through!
I’m entering this card into
several challenges including Outlawz Twisted Thursday: Optional Twist Music (The base of my card is a
pretty floral pattered paper base that includes a musical score!)
Supplies:
· All items are from
my stash.

This final card features lots of items from my stash… some which I haven’t
used for years! I’m entering this card into several challenges including Allsorts: Summer Days and the Four Seasons: August (one
of the things I enjoy about summer is the quiet hum of the hardworking bees
in our flower garden most days), and Park Hopping-My Happy Place (my card
features bees, which can also be found in Dollywood at the Busy Bees Ride
(which looks to be a fun ride for grandparents and young kiddos!)
Supplies:
· Wood-Mount Rubber
Stamp: Printworks “If Friends were Flowers…” Sentiment (retired)
· Wood-Mount Rubber
Stamps: Art Impressions-Small Flowers and Leaves (Retired) but you can find a clear Stamp
Set with similar images here (Watercolor Flower Set 40521)
· Colored with assorted ink pads.
· Wood-Mount Rubber
Stamp: Bee (Hero Arts- Retired)
·
Colored
with Spectrum Noir
Classique markers, Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen, and fine-line Black Sharpie pen
· Stickles: Diamonds
(on bee wings)

from my stash.
