Renee
Matarese, a talented DT at Art Impressions (Ai), is celebrating her 13th Anniversary of creating for this wonderful company. (I was first introduced to Ai in
1999 when a friend and I opened a small store in South Dakota named “Stampers
Den.” We loved the wonderful “Oldies” characters that AI’s artist/owner, Bonnie
Kreb, created… and Maude, Eunice, Bud, Fanny, and others were among the best sellers in our store! The fun
holiday characters were also always popular.)
Although this very dapper Easter
Bunny stamp is long retired, he is one of my well-used Ai front and back sets. So
it was fun to bring him out of “storage” to help Renee celebrate her
13th Anniversary with his Easter flare! (Also, although I used my Ai
wood mount foliage stamps, I did check their webshop and found a clear stamp
set that includes similar images, plus a few more that would be great to have available! )
Note- When checking Ai webshop, also search by Front & Back, FB, Twister, and Flip Cards to find some wonderful options!

I made this second collage card for our 4th of July holiday using scraps of paper and napkins, upcycled postage stamps, star stickers, and a few digi sentiments.
I’m entering it into several challenges including Outlawz-Monday Greeting Challenge: Summer Fun! (during my childhood my family looked forward to 4th of July celebrations. It was always a fun holiday with time outdoors, lots of great food… and fireworks!), plus other challenges that relate to patriotic events and items: Park Hopping-My Happy Place (a favorite challenge that has introduced me to many new amusement parks. I used the “inspirations” option on the Happy Place website to find a listing of parks with an Americana/USA theme and found three, all tied to Disney- Disney’s America, Liberty Square , and American Adventure); Colorful Options Monthly Challenge: July-Flags; Simon Says Wednesday Challenge- Stars and Stripes; and Time Out Challenge- #267 Photo Inspiration. Supplies:
· Front Sentiment “Happy 4th of July” Freebie from Whimsie Doodles (HERE)
· Inside Sentiment “Celebrate With a Bang”- Eureka Digital Stamp (Currently not available)
· Sparkly Heart Stickers- Hobby Lobby
· Gold photo corners available from several web sources (WXJ13 Photo Mounting Corners)
· All other items from my stash.

Time Out Challenge- #267 Photo Inspiration: Seeing Stars
I created this card for two reasons… to
provide a thank you to the barrister at
a new coffee shop. Ella is a college student with just one
year left, and is not only great at her job,
she is also sweet, kind, and funny!) The second reason is that I wanted
to make another card for the current challenge at The
Paper Shelter: Three Times
Anything. The background sentiment digi includes the word “Coffee” three times, plus I added
three pink stripes to the classy coffee-drinkers knit dress. (I also used shades of three of my favorite colors to enter the card into the
Passion for Markers Challenge: pink, purple/lavender, and burgundy.)
Supplies:
·
Background Digi- A freebie from Simply
Cards/CraftWorld Magazine (no longer available)
·
Digi- The Paper Shelter Digi Set (So Casual So Beautiful)
·
Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique
markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·
Scrap of plastic index divider sheet, and other items from my stamping
stash.
·
All other items from my stash.
