    I want to get one more lighthouse card entered into the current Time Out Photo Inspiration (lighthouse) Challenge before the deadline this AM.    

    This digi stamp is from Impression Obsession. I used decorative chalks to give the coloring a soft feeling and added a few highlights with a white gel pen. Strips of vellum and thin strips  sparkly/holographic self-stick laminating sheet creates an illusion of the lighthouse beams.

     I’m entering this card into several challenges including Outlawz Sunday Poem: My Country (my card reflects the line “I love her jewel-sea.”)

     This is my final entry into the current challenge at Di’s Digi Stamps named “Sun and/or Sand and/or Water.” The digi I used is named Sammy’s Surprise. After printing, coloring, and fussy-cutting the little squirrel named Sammy, I trimmed off the large acorn he was carrying. Then, to meet this challenge theme, I hand sketched, colored, and fussy-cut a colorful beach ball that I perched atop his little paws. The beachy background was created with torn strips of tan parchment paper (sand) to the bottom of a beach digi that is a freebie! (See below ** for details!)  I finished the card by adhering Sammy and a sentiment that fits the smile on his face. So Fun!

      Tomorrow is a national holiday here in the USA, and this fun collage card went together quickly with scraps of paper and napkins, upcycled postal items, star stickers, a few digis and a sentiment.  

    I’m entering this card into several challenges including Park Hopping-My Happy Place (a favorite challenge that has introduced me to many new amusement parks. I used the “inspirations” option on the Happy Place website to find a listing of parks with an Americana/USA theme and found three, all tied to Disney- Disney’s America, Liberty Square, and American Adventure),  Allsorts Challenge: Way to Grow (over a few centuries, the USA has grown from 13 colonies to a country with 50 states. I’ve visited many of them and love the variety of accents, foods, traditions, and even critters that each holds. My state is known for it's vicious badgers), The Paper Shelter: Three Times Anything (my card holds many stars, including three that are gold), and Snippets (another favorite because it encourages me to use all the lovely paper scraps, upcycled treasures that I hoard… I mean… save… for later use)!
