It’s Party Time!

It’s the 15th of the month so I’ve made a DT card for the challenge at QKR Stampede. Stop by the challenge, which is always “Anything Goes” and several prizes are awarded. Maybe you’ll be inspired to enter a card or two yourself?
I’ve had fun making Halloween cards with some amazing Eureka digis and free starry background paper from Polkadoodles. (This paper is part of a whole bundle of freebies that was released on the 4th of July.  I’m not sure how long it will be available, so you might want to grab it now. The link is in the supply list below.) I first printed the background onto copy paper, then positioned the ghost balloon digi to fit onto a Slimline card and ran the starry background paper through the printer. The balloon was colored with a white colored pencil and shaded with a grey marker.  The skeleton was printed separately onto white cardstock, colored, fussy-cut, and attached with double-stick tape. A black Sharpie marker was then used to add the balloon string. So fun!
Supplies:

quirky images and great sentiments. I used a past Outlawz Sketch for my layout, plus lots
items from my stash to make this fun card.

Since I’m a DT for this month’s sponsor, Beccy’s Place, I’m entering just for fun!

When working on gift packages of all occasion cards, I often make duplicates of each card… so
look for options that I can make fairly quickly. This wonderful free digi from Paula Posts
works for specific occasions, or just for a nice “thinking of you” kind of day! I always enjoyed
sharing coffee with my sweet mom and wish I had found this digi while she was still alive. I
know that she would have loved getting it in the mail.
Supplies:
·   Front Sentiment- Paula Posts Free Digi (Love You Mom)
·   Cup of Coffee Image- Stampin’ Up wood-mount stamp (from a retired set)
·   Inside Sentiment- Computer Generated
·   Cardstock, a scrap of red plastic document sheet, and background papers from my stash

  2. Wonderful cards Kathy, you always create such fabulous designs. I love the idea of a ghost balloon... how cute is that?! Love the floral paper you used on the chicken card, it works perfectly with the colours in the image. The "Love You Mom" card is beautiful and the sentiment inside is really lovely. Well done on all these wonderful creations!
