Since
I’m a DT for this months sponsor, Sheepski Designs, I’m entering this challenge
just for fun!
I love anything
that relates to oceans and beaches… so the current challenge at Pattie’s
Creation called to me. Artist/owner Pattie
Gomez is providing a wonderful sea horse as a freebie during August. I printed
the digi onto grey parchment cardstock and colored it to compliment the beautiful
background paper that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I fussy-cut one of the
anchors from specialty Kraft and metallic scrapbook paper from JoAnnes, tied it
onto a strip of gold cording and draped it over a curved sentiment from Imagine
That. The inside sentiment is from Bugaboo.
Supplies:
· Digi- Patties Creations (Sea Horse) Digi is the August Freebie
· Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly
Roll white gel pen
·
Front Sentiment- “Swishing by to say Hi” Imagine That digi set (Mermaid
Swimming)
·
Inside Sentiment- “Wishing You Oceans of Joy” Bugaboo Stamps (Under
the Sea digi set)
· Golden wave
patterned paper from Hobby Lobby
· Kraft paper with
golden anchors from JoAnnes
· Small star with
anchor embellishment created with a paper punch and small sticker from my stash
· Other assorted cardstock
and gold cord from my stash

My final card this
post features a sweet new image from All Dressed Up named, appropriately “Sunflower.”
I decided to color it with decorative chalks so that I could enter it into the
Outlawz Crash Your Stash challenge. (However, when finished the colored image
looks a bit too blah, so I have to confess that I added a bit of grey alcohol
marker for shading and white gel pen for highlights.) I used a strip from an
upcycled calendar that featured sunflowers. Don’t you think that the inside
sentiment, from We Are 3, is the perfect fit for the card?!
Supplies:
· Digi- All Dressed Up (Sunflower)
· Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly
Roll white gel pen
·
Front Sentiment “Hello”- Scrapbook&Cards magazine Freebie
·
Inside Sentiment- We Are 3 Harvest Sentiment set
can be found HERE.
· Assorted background
papers and upcycled calendar page from my stash
