Sunday Trio

I wanted to make one more square card to enter into the current Outlawz Monday challenge, and decided to also use the Outlawz Sketch challenge with  the adorable digi from Sherry West Art named “You Are Sombunny Special.” I printed off an extra copy of the cute little bunny and arms gently holding it, colored and fussy-cut them and adhered to the card front with foam tape to add some depth to the card.  Am entering this card into several challenges including Double D’s "Welcome Spring"(the background paper has small delicate tulips... plus Easter is a Spring holiday!)

Supplies:
·    Digi- Sherry West (You Are Somebunny Special)
·    Front sentiment- Eureka Digital Stamp (Easter Blessings to You)
·    Inside sentiment- Desert Diva (Celebrate the Hope of Easter)
·    Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·    Assorted background papers, sheer ribbon and kraft photo corners from my stash

Cute Card Thursday- Challenge #627 Easter

This months Progressive Challenge at Outlawz provided a free digi from Sheepski Designs. Since I love artist Andrea Norris’ gnome drawings, including this one named “Giant Mushroom.” I used the “Spotlight Technique” to highlight the cute pair, using a scrapbook template to sketch a circle around them and colored within the circle. To help the colorful couple stand out even more, I used B&W paper and ribbon for the backgrounds. And, to add a bit more color to the inside sentiments, I perched a few of my favorite puffy heart stickers above the colored portion of the sentiment. So fun!
Supplies:
·    Digi- Sheepski Designs (Giant Mushroom)
·    Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·    Inside  sentiment- Desert Diva (You Add Color To My Life)
·    Assorted background papers and vellum from my stash
·    Puffy Heart Stickers- Sticko’s from Walmart (The pack contains 113 assorted puffy hearts for just 99 cents!)
·    Sheer black dotted swiss ribbon- JoAnne’s

My final card for this post features a fun image from a Beccy’s Place digi set named “Bear With Me” (which is being retired soon… so available now for just $5.00) I printed the cute bear image onto Kraft cardstock, colored, fussy-cut and adhered him to an octagon shape on the front of a gatefold card front. The sentiments are computer-generated, and the final bit of fun was added with  sparkly Santa hat stickers.

Supplies:
·    Digi- Beccy’s Place Digital Set (Bear With Me)
·    Sentiments- Computer Generated
·    Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·    Background papers from my stash
·    Santa Hat Stickers- Hobby Lobby (I cut the one on the inside down a bit to fit the space allowed.)

  2. SO cute, Kathy. It takes me back to my childhood and my deep love for my dolls (one in particular). What a fond memory. I also wanted to say thank you for being so honest about your first entry in this challenge. I'm not going to sweat it; as it was an honest mistake. With all that's going on in our world right now, if this upsets someone that much...well, what can I say? We all need Jesus.

Thanks, as always, for sharing your sweet and wonderful art in our challenges. It means so much to me, and I hope your art brings you much joy and peace as we wait out this trying time. What a joy to know that God is always in complete control. When we know His perfect peace, there's nothing to fear. Take care and thanks again. Have a great week and stay healthy.
