A Perfect Time to Craft 2020-Anything Goes- Challenge #3-2020
One of my resolutions
this year was to make at least two Christmas cards a month. This is the 8th
I’ve made since January 1st, so I’m on track. For this card I dug
into my mom’s stash of treasures that I inherited, pulling out a scrap of white
boiled wool, and some wonderful holly shaped sequins. I upcycled a card front
because I like the way that the white dots mimic sequins. I cut the boiled wool into a circle upon which I attached the holly and berries with needle and thread. I then cut a few additional circles from scraps of vellum and dark green cardstock to provide a nice “frame” for the
sparkly holly. Lastly, I added a pretty bow to ground the embellishment. So lovely!

My final card for this post features a cute little Stampin’
Up! Leprechaun that I’ve had in my stamp collection for many years. The sentiment on
the front is from a plaque that hung in our home when I was growing up and I’ve
always loved it. (I’ve been collecting sayings in a notebook since I was in my
teens and this is in that collection. I especially love having proof that my
handwriting was legible way back then!)
