Fun & Festive

When I saw that the last challenge at wecraftcards Forum was named “Seussical Challenge” I knew exactly which image I’d use for my card! This adorable digi from Bugaboo named “Youer Than You” is the perfect fit. With little coloring, cutting and layering it went together… well… quicker than quick!!
Supplies:
·    Digi- Bugaboo (Youer Than You)
·    Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·    Background paper and photo corners from my stash

A Perfect Time to Craft 2020-Anything Goes- Challenge #3-2020

One of my resolutions this year was to make at least two Christmas cards a month. This is the 8th I’ve made since January 1st, so I’m on track. For this card I dug into my mom’s stash of treasures that I inherited, pulling out a scrap of white boiled wool, and some wonderful holly shaped sequins. I upcycled a card front because I like the way that the white dots mimic sequins. I cut the boiled wool into a circle upon which I attached the holly and berries with needle and thread. I then cut a few additional circles from scraps of vellum and dark green cardstock to provide a nice “frame” for the sparkly holly. Lastly, I added a pretty bow to ground the embellishment. So lovely!

Supplies:
·    Front of card is recycled from an old Christmas Card
·    Inside sentiments- Inkadinkado Ornate Christmas clear set
·    Sage Green Inkpad
·    Holly leaves and a scrap of  white boiled wool- from my mom’s stash
·    Red sequins for holly berries (with red seed bead centers)- from my stash
·    Scraps of  ribbon, vellum and dark green cardstock- from my stash
·    Circle template- from my scrapbook stash

My final card for this post features a cute little Stampin’ Up! Leprechaun that I’ve had in my stamp collection for many years. The sentiment on the front is from a plaque that hung in our home when I was growing up and I’ve always loved it. (I’ve been collecting sayings in a notebook since I was in my teens and this is in that collection. I especially love having proof that my handwriting was legible way back then!)
