Yesterday I created a DT card for the Colour Crazy Challenge using a sweet Dr. Digi image named “Cuddly Critters
Panda.” I decided to use that digi again, but instead of coloring it, I used
torn mulberry paper to create a very fuzzy looking panda. I crafted a small
branch with a scrap of green cardstock that I slipped under his paw… because a
chunky panda might just need an occasional snack! I’m also entering this card into several other
challenges including Di’s Digi Stamps Challenge (Embellish It- I think that the
little branch plus the many strips of mulberry paper qualify as embellies?)
Supplies:
·
Digi- Dr Digi (Cuddly Critters Panda)
· Sentiments-
Computer Generated
·
Assorted background papers from my stash
·
Small branch sketch on green scrap paper and fussy-cut

My final
card this posting was so much fun to create as it features a few treasures. The
first treasure is a sheet of vintage sheet music.
(My hubby's grandmother was a church choir director in the 1940s. After her
death, we discovered boxes full of sheet music and books in the attic of her
home. Most of the items are dated in the early 1900s and many were in pretty
bad shape. However, they work beautifully on cards. This one, an Easter song, pairs
beautifully with the lovely digi from Ching-Chou
Kuik named “Believe.” ) The other treasure is
the assortment of delicate butterflies, part of a free colored set that I found
on a website a few years ago. (All I had to do was add the butterflies
bodies and antennae with a fine-line Sharpie black marker.) I’m also entering this card into several other
challenges including the Butterfly
Challenge (I used two colors: umber and ultra
pink), Bugaboo Stamps (Things with
Wings- butterflies), Cute As A Button (added glitter on the beads), Path of Positivity (Botanicals= beautiful Easter Lillies) Outlaws
Color Challenge (used all three of the colors on the chart including the peach
color in her hair highlights.) I added a closeup so that you can see the colors more clearly, plus the Stickles and Liquid Pearls. They really add a pretty sparkle and sheen in real life.

Love the gingerbread card Kathy, you've done a fabulous job colouring the images. The little guy you used on the front is my favourite from the set too... if I may say so myself. Love the decoration you added to the inside as well.
ReplyDeleteThe panda card you created is so clever! I'm amazed at how beautifully you've constructed the little bear from mulberry paper... love the addition of the "snack" too.
Your last card in this post is beautiful. The little treasures you added really complete the design nicely and add a lovely personal touch... especially the sheet music. Fabulous job Kathy!
Cheers,
Beccy
