Adorable Duckies

It’s Friday, so time for another challenge at QKR Stampede!  Stop by the challenge, which is always “Anything Goes” and several prizes are awarded. Maybe you’ll be inspired to enter a card or two yourself? My DT card features two cute digi images and from Eureka Stamps and several items from my stash including the boxed birthday card that includes front and inside sentiment. All I needed to do is added the duckies and a few other embellies and it was good to go.  I do so love the sweet little duckies and wanted to make the top one look like he's kicking up sparkly hearts like he’d kick up splashes in a spring mud puddle. So fun! Am entering this card into several challenges including Simon Says Wednesday Challenge-Whatever the Weather  (Ducks love to play in the rain or sunshine… and I’m guessing probably even in the snow!)
Supplies:
·    Front Digs- Eureka Stamps (Ducky Dancing digital) and (Ducky Doing Splits digital)
·    Card base is from a box of Birthday cards rescued from our local Goodwill
·    Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·    Assorted background paper from my stash
·    Vellum with music notes from Hobby Lobby

Cute Card Thursday- Challenge #626 Just For Fun!
Bugaboo Stamps- Things with Wings

I’m creating a packet of cards as a thank you gift for our pastor since he is such a wonderful encourager! Figured that he’d like the sentiment in this card, and also the vintage sheet music used as a base. My hubby’s grandmother was a church choir director in the 1940s. After her death, we discovered boxes full of choir books in the attic of her home. Most of the items are dated in the early 1900s and many are torn and showing signs of age. However, they work beautifully on cards.
 Supplies:
·    Digis- Our Daily Bread Grunge Cross & Grunge Background (company no longer in business)
·    Inside  sentiment- Eureka Digital Image  (Be Still and Know)
·    Vintage sheet music, black ink pad, gold pigment ink, gold embossing powder and gold photo corners from my stash

I needed to make one more card for the Outlaws Sunday Challenge is called “Rose Garden” so I dug out one of my favorite rose stamp sets- a wood mount from Posh Impressions- and got to work. I don’t need Sympathy cards very often, but only have a few on hand, so created this one with a little fussy-cutting and foam tape. The final touch was to add a delicate vellum butterfly from a free set that I found on a website a few years ago. I like printing them on vellum to add a bit of translucent realism. Just needed to sketch the butterfly’s body and antennae with a fine-line Sharpie black marker, add the sentiment and the card is done. Am entering this card into a few other challenges including the Butterfly Challenge (it features two colors- burgundy roses and veridian butterfly wings.)
