The Classic Design
Challenge is currently running an extra challenge to increase awareness of the
devastation that fires are causing in Australia. Stop by this link, Save Australian Animals
Challenge, to read about some of the heroic efforts to save the lives of vulnerable wildlife. This is the second card I’ve created in honor of
the heroic efforts of firefighters, animal rescue groups and others that are
striving to protect vulnerable animals. My card features an adorable image from
Di’s Digis named Mias Koala Hug (which is available right now for just $1.00!) I
upcycled a card for the base. (It included the stamped Thank You so I don’t
know who makes that image.) I fussy cut flowers from a scrap of patterned paper
to decorate the background of the card front and inside. The final touch was to sprinkle some sweet
little mini flower sequins that I’d just won from Simon Says. (The packet holds
hundreds of the little bloom and is just $2.99.) I attached them with a touch of
Tombow mono adhesive and added a small dot of Buttercup Liquid Pearls in the
center of each.

A Perfect Time to Craft 2020-Anything Goes- Challenge #3-2020
Back in the late 90’s when a friend and
I owned a stamp store in South Dakota, a wonderful company named Northwoods Rubber Stamps was one of
our best selling companies. We loved
their finely detailed stamps and especially their wildlife images and sentiment
stamps. This owl image has been one of my favorites to color these last few
decades. (I was excited to find that the company is still in business. You can
find them HERE.)

for this posting features a cute digi set from Little Scraps of Heaven named “Lucky
to Have.” (It was a freebie last February, but sadly appears to no longer be available.)
I added some bling by replacing the shamrocks on the headband with sparkly
stickers. The sentiment is part of the Little Scraps of Heaven set.

ReplyDeleteSuch a darling card, Kathy with a beautiful , heartwarming image! I am loving your fussy cut flowers and the tiny daisy flower sequins - they make this perfect for our Beauty of Botanicals challenge.
