Moonflower

It's Wednesday! So time for another challenge at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog where challenges are always Anything Goes and prizes are awarded from one or more sponsors.  Stop by the blog to check it out! The sponsor this week is Moonflower and I used a digi named "Lilly the Cat Fairy” on my DT card.  A friend recently gave me the stamp/embossing folder as a gift and I loved using the little embossed paw prints on this card. It adds the perfect bit of whimsy! The inside sentiment is computer generated. (I also tried something new with hair color this time, using shades of blue instead of usual black and greys. I think I'll be doing this again in the future!) I’m entering this card into several challenges including The Butterfly Challenge (color- ultra pink, theme- patterned paper with inside sentiment).
One added note- the sweet little butterflies are sparkly and were in one of the prize packets that I won on an earlier Butterfly Challenge. (Mrs. A provides such wonderful butterfly-themed prizes!)

·    Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

I enjoy origami. So, a few weeks ago when I found a 3-D origami heart pattern on Pinterest I grabbed some scrap paper and starting playing! The beautiful heart on this card is the result of that playtime. I wanted to showcase it on a card, and spied a tag on my table that would provide a perfect base. (I’d picked up a packet of wonder Heidi Swapp tags and labels a while ago. When I followed the directions on the packet and sponged a few colors of ink across the embossed tags the white embossed pattern showed up like magic. I love the effect in the muted sage green. I used a portion of a die-cut for the front sentiment and scraps of ribbon, paper lace (cut from the edge of a square doily) and assorted papers to finish off the card front. I also used some of these items to decorate the inside sentiment a bit.  I’m entering this card into several challenges including Simon Says Monday Challenge (requires a tag), Simon Say Wednesday Challenge (the lacy edge, ribbon, and fonts all have a feminine feeling to me),  Outlawz Crash Your Stash (my favorite puffy heart stickers meet the requirement!)

A Perfect Time to Craft 2020-Anything Goes- Challenge #3-2020

My final card for this post features a cute little Leprechaun that I’ve had in my stamp collection for many years. I’m making packets of cards that I give as gifts to friends and family and decided to add a few St Pat’s day cards to each. So… have made more of these than I have in years past. The sentiment on this card is from a plaque that hung in our home when I was growing up and I’ve always loved it. (I’ve been collecting sayings in a notebook since I was in my teens and this is in that collection. I especially love having proof that my handwriting was legible way back then!) Am entering this into several challenges including Double D’s (although my card doesn’t include a lot of green, it does reflect several items from the inspiration photo including shamrocks, leprechaun hat, and a wee bit ‘o sentiment in the word banner!)

Supplies:
·    Leprechaun Image- Stampin’ Up! (Retired Set)
·    Front Sentiment- Computer generated from my files
·    Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·    Rainbow stationery sheet and four-leaf clovers (which are cut from patterned paper) are from my stash.

  2. What a super fun card. My MIL always makes St. Patricks Day cards for us (as my husband's family is a bit o Irish) and I know she would love this card. Thanks for sharing it with us at Word Art Wednesday. Sorry for the link-up drama, and thank you for reaching out to me. It's back up now. I had entered the wrong end date, and InLinkz will NOT allow (even the Admin, me) to EDIT a link-up party once it has ended, so I couldn't just go in and change the end date. What a bother! Anyway, there's a new link-up now right underneath the old one. And again, thanks so much for reaching out to me. I SO greatly appreciate you sharing all your sweet and creative art with us. Hope you're having a great week.
    Blessings,

  3. Kathy, I love all your projects, but especially your first card with the kitty and butterfly, which you submitted to us at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies. I absolutely love the way you color the girl's hair! I struggle so much with hair that I tend to avoid images with people! I think that embossing folder was the perfect touch to add a subtle but coordinated detail to the background. Thank you so much for sharing this with us at 2CCC 😁
