Fancy Fold

I wanted to create a special card for my final entry into Double D’s Saying Hello Challenge… so decided on an explosion card. There are many tutorials on Pinterest, but I like THIS ONE which is really easy to follow. I used a square of floral gift wrap which creases beautifully for a special fold card like this. The background for the front of the card was made with a recent "find" at the local Goodwill, some Heidi Swapp note cards/tags. I followed the directions and sponged a few colors of ink across the embossed tags and the white embossed pattern popped up! So fun. Two solid Posh Impression wood-mount stamps and a few juicy ink pads helped me create the beautiful roses (and reflect the beautiful roses on the photo inspiration. After fussy-cutting the images I attached them to the front and inside of the card, using a backing of vellum on the lower greeting to allow a place for a note to be added before sending.

This fun Christmas card is also an explosion card mainly because I thought that it was a fitting fold to represent an unexpected blizzard of kisses… I mean snowflakes! The sweet Snow Couple digi and both sentiments are FREEBIES! How cool is that? Scraps of gift wrap work great for special fold cards because the paper creates nice and crisp creases.

My final card for this posting is also my final entry into Monday‘s Simon Says Challenge named “Inspired by Music.” I found a packet of four-leaf clover-shaped note cards in my stash, and layered on several St. Pat’s related items: a scrap of sheet music and a rainbow cut from a sheet of stationery, clovers cut from scrapbook paper and a cute little Leprechaun. The focal point of the card is a wonderful colored sentiment digi that is a freebie from LoveSVG.
Supplies:
·    Leprechaun Image- Stampin’ Up! (Retired Set)
·    Front Sentiment- Free sheet music (St Patrick’s Day)
·    Inside sentiment- Freebie from LoveSVG. (Happy St. Patricks Day)
·    Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·    Rainbow stationery sheet and clover-shaped note card and envelope from my stash.
·    Four Leaf Clover paper- Hobby Lobby
