Winter Wonders

My entry in Beccy's Place Fifth Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge for the letter "U" is an "Upcycled Snowman."  Since I love adding upcycled items to my cards, I was thrilled to find this dearie dolls digi image with a cardboard snowman. The Lili of the Valley sentiment was printed on vellum.

For this card I printed off and colored Di's Digi image "Love To The Moon And Back."  I then fussy cut the image and mounted it onto Christmas Star scrapbook paper. Developed and printed off sentiments for the front and inside of the card. (Love this precious image… and it is now on sale for $2.00 at www.disdigistamps.com) Am entering the card into a few challenges, including Di's Digi challenge (although there are no wings or feathers, all of these cute critters have tails!)

Found this freebie sentiment from Kelli Winnell's blog (she offers a wonderful free sentiment every Friday! kelliewinnell.typepad.com/blog/freebie-Friday) When I found a donut-shaped card idea on Pinterest, I just had to use the sentiment. So funny!

  1. What a great stamp! It looks like an Aussie version of a snowman Kathy, they're the only ones you'll see here in summer. Love the "wet paint" sign.
The little animals sitting on a branch and looking at the Star of Bethlehem are gorgeous, and your colouring is fabulous as always.
I love your doughnut card, especially the fabulous sprinkles on the front. I'm more of a choc-frosted myself, but I'll take a warm cinnamon sugar too.
    Great job Kathy!
    Cheers,
    Beccy

  2. That second card is just sooooo adorable!!! What a genius idea to place the image onto some patterned paper! It is an amazing background without all the work of creating it yourself! Love it! Thanks for playing with Di's Digi Designs and CHNCC2.

  4. All these cards are so cute, Kathy! I totally agree with the sentiments in the donut card...I would be hard-pressed to find any if I couldn't get them at Dunkin Donuts! The card you entered into the CHNC Extra challenge is so stinking cute!! I love everything about it! Thanks for continuing to share with us at CHNC Extra! :)
