Peaceful Snow Scene

My final entry into this week's Simon Says Wednesday challenge is this peaceful winter scene. To create it I tore the edge on a sheet of copy paper and laid it diagonally across the card front. Inked a tree trio image from Embossing Arts with a rainbow pad and stamped them repeatedly along the torn paper line and across the bottom of the card. The sentiment is an unmounted stamp, so don't know the company that makes it.

I love the Art Impressions character (image) named, appropriately, Fanny. So when making another tag for the current AI challenge, I just had to put her to work. This tag is made up entirely of AI stamps- Fanny (front& back), the fence, and the sentiments on the front and back of the tag. Am thinking that I'll send this to a friend who is an avid reader. It will serve as a nice bookmark, plus might just make her chuckle occasionally, too!

I am a wanna be quilter, and know many quilters, so was fun to make this card for a current Simon Says Challenge. I don't have any sewing themed cards, so drew the scissors on cardstock, colored and fussy cut it out. Printed the sentiment on my computer. Layered quilted background paper, and finished the card by drawing stitches with a white gel pen.

I'm not an Elf on the Shelf person… because… well… I don't have any kids or grandkids and don’t think my hubby would appreciate the messy little elf's antics! However, I do like the concept of Elfon the shelf. So, was fun to make this cute card, which I'm entering in the current Sketch Challenge at Bugaboo. (Note the little cutie is perched on a gift under the tree. However, the busyness of the background was distracting so I added a layer of vellum that allows a bit of color and pattern to peek through, but allows the little Elf to take center stage. And the sweet little jingle bells on his hat and along the side of the image are from a Beccy's Place digi set named Finn's Bells.)

  1. The Peace on Earth card is beautiful Kathy, great choice of colours. The blues make for a gorgeous, peaceful scene.
Your bookmark tag is wonderful, love the funny image and sentiment. I'm sure you friend will get a kick out of her book mark every time she opens her book.
The quilting card is beautiful Kathy, and you did an awesome job drawing those scissors... you've got a real skill there. Love the collection of colours and patterns and the hand drawn stitches finish the project perfectly.
The little elf on your last card is adorable! I like that you've merged a couple of digital images into one, it's a great way to extend your stamps even further.
    Cheers,
    Beccy
