myasperations 5-1-22

It’s the 1st of the month, so I’m sharing my DT card for QKR Stampede. Stop by the challenge, which is always “Anything Goes” and several prizes are awarded. Maybe you’ll be inspired to enter a card or two yourself?
My schedule has been pretty busy the last few weeks, so I opted for a simple design for this one. Actually, I forgot how quickly a card can go together when using a large sentiment as the focal point. My typical cards, with all the cutting and coloring, can take an hour or more to make.  This one took about 20 minutes! I'm adding it to a packet that I will give to our church to use when needed to send notes of encouragement, etc. people!
Supplies:

·   Sentiment- Eureka Digital Stamp (The Lord Bless You) Also available in unmounted or cling-mounted

·   Vellum Butterfly- Freebie available from HERE

·   All other items from my stash.

Gem of a Challenge- Week #9 Anything Goes

Looking through my folder of QKR/Eureka digis, I found two of these beautiful butterflies, already colored and fussy-cut. Decided to create an Easter card to rebuild my supply which is pretty depleted. (And since my favorite wedding gift is a nice supply of assorted cards for holidays and other celebrations. It is a gift that I wish we’d received 44 years ago… since our budget back then didn’t allow us to send many cards to friends and loved ones! And would still stretch our budget today when nice cards are so expensive!)
Supplies:
·   Digi- Eureka Digital Stamp (Butterfly) Also available in unmounted or cling-mounted

·   Digi colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Calla Lily image- upcycled from an old PSX catalog

·   Inside Sentiment- “Jesus Christ is Risen Today” freebie from papercraftsmag.com (no longer available)

·   All other items from my stash.

Crafty Hazelnut’s Patterned Paper Challenge- May

My mom was a very creative woman, with fabric, other crafts, and paper (she loved coloring… so when I introduced her to cardmaking during a short stint as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator…she was hooked. Which reminds me, she also loved to crochet!) I inherited several boxes full of her many treasures, including old paper products. This beautiful scene is trimmed from a tattered old calendar page and all other items are from my files and stash.
Supplies:

·   Windmill Scene from my dear Mom’s treasure box

·   Tulip tag- freebie from HERE shaded and highlighted with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura white gel pen

·   Sentiments- Computer Generated

·   All other items from my stash.
