It’s the 15th of the month, so I’m sharing my DT card for
QKR Stampede. Stop by the challenge which is always “Anything Goes” and
several prizes are awarded. Maybe you’ll be inspired to enter a card or
two yourself?
Graduation
season is in full swing, so I’m busy making cards. This slimline card features an image from Eureka Stamps (I used a wood-mount
stamp that I’ve had in my collection for a few decades, long before I discovered digi images!) The card is for a friend’s
son who is graduating from a nearby high school. Their colors are purple and
white, and their mascot is a bulldog (hence, the pawprint sticker
embellishment!)
Supplies:
·
Digi- Eureka Digital Stamp (Boy Graduate) Also available in unmounted or digital.
·
Colored with Spectrum
Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·
Paw Print Sticker- Hobby Lobby
·
Front
Sentiment “Congratulations” Paper (from my scrapbooking stash)
·
Inside Sentiment- Desert
Diva Freebie (Graduation is not the end…)
·
Diploma with bow- Cut from scraps
· Star template, cardstock, glitter paper, and other items from my stash.

This is my second entry into the
current Butterfly Challenge, which is one of my favs! Each challenge offers several colors and
themes we can use on our cards, plus provides instructions for a creative fold
that we can use if desired.
I made this card for an earlier
challenge that featured a Collar Fold, but I didn’t get it entered in time. So…
just found it and since it features two of the colors
(Amaranth and Asparagus), and two of the themes (2 Design papers and Butterfly)
for the current challenge, I’ll enter it now. I decided to decorate the inside of the card with scraps of the papers
used on the front, and will add a specific sentiment later.

This is my second entry into the Double D’s
Challenge, another of my favs! The current photo theme includes birds, so I dug
through my collection of bird digis. I found this cutie from a Beccy’s Place
digi set, his name is Wilson (I love that Beccy names all her characters!) The look on his face inspired me to find a
humorous sentiment… and this one from one of my favorite freebie sites is the
perfect fit! (And the sentiment kinda describes how I am feeling these days! Ha!)
Supplies:
·
Colored with Spectrum
Noir Classique markers, white colored pencil, and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel
pen
·
Sentiment (divided between front/inside) Gingers House Freebie (I am not an Early Bird)
·
Upcycled calendar page, vellum scrap, pheasant feathers, and cardstock
from my stash.

Fabulous cards Kathy! I love the colour combo on the graduation card, the purple, gold, black and white is awesome... especially the glittery bits! I like how you've decorated the inside too, and let's not forget the little shoutout to the school's mascot.
ReplyDeleteYour butterfly card is beautiful. I really like the way you've tucked the butterflies under the "collar" of the card, it looks as though they're all just waiting to flutter out. The papers are very pretty too.
I love the background you used on your last card, what a fabulous farmyard scene! The sentiment gave me a chuckle... I can also relate! Well done Kathy!
Cheers,
Beccy
