Hearts & Fairies

I wanted to make another card for The Sisterhood of Crafters that focuses on trees. So, I pulled out one of my favorite scenery wood mount Stampscapes images named "Lakeside Cabin." After stamping it with black ink,  I used a scrapbook template to sketch a heart shape that highlights the lovely cabin. I colored added color within the heart shape with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. Layered the finished item atop a few layers of cardstock and patterned papers, with torn edges for a rustic feel. The inside sentiment is a freebie from LoveSVG named All Hearts Come Home.

During the month of December, the Butterfly Challenge doesn’t require a butterfly on our cards, but instead, we are to feature Fairies, Gnomes, Pixies, Elves, and Imps. I recently found this adorable Lemon Shortbread fairy and had fun creating a card that highlighted her sweet face! (The really neat thing is that this image is a freebie that you can on the blog of Lemon Shortbreads illustrator/owner, Vera, HERE.) I colored the little cutie with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. Her tiny fingers were just aksing for a flower, so I fussy-cut one from the floral background paper and slipped it between her fingers. So lovely! The “Make a Wish” sentiment is a freebie from Papercrafts magazine. You can find it HERE. The inside sentiment, a quote from Tinkerbell that I found on a web search is computer generated.
I am entering this card into several other challenges including Outlawz TicTacToe (first column- white paper lace, flowers, lots of black and white in the image) and Sheepski Designs (Fairies are one of my favorite things!)
