This is
my final card for Double D’s Challenge- 12 Days of Christmas. Once again, I
thought a bit outside of the box… with the help from a wonderful digi of a piper
(a BAG PIPER!) I’d actually found this image a while ago, it’s a freebie from TLC
Creations, and saved it because I thought it was a hoot! (Yes, some of use living
in this part of the country actually say that, out loud, in public!) I had fun
coloring the piper. After looking at photos of bagpipes on the web, I added the
tiny plaid print to the bagpipes with assorted fine line markers and gel pens.
So fun! I’m entering this card
in several challenges including Incy Wincy Designs where the focus is “Happiness.” The
little piper and the “Joyful Noise” sentiment both make me smile. (Actually, I
think that calling the sounds that come from a bagpipe “Joyful Noise” might be
a stretch!)

My final card features
a whimsical image of two cows… getting ready to celebrate the New Year and party
until… well.. THEY come home! The wood-mount stamp is from Petersen Rubber Stamps (a husband and
wife small home business in South Dakota in the late 1990’s. They were nice
people!) The background paper is
actually the inside of an envelope from a recent bill from my dentist. (I
really do upcycle a lot.) Please ignore the paper clip. I need to get some removable tape to hold cards shut but keep forgetting to pick some up!
Supplies:
·
Cow Stamp- Petersen
Rubber Stamps (no longer in business)
· Sentiments- Computer
