Cookies!

Hello! It’s the third Thursday of the month, so I get to share another DT card using Imagine That Digi Stamps. This time I used a yummy set named Jars of Cheer, printing it onto Kraft brown paper. There was little coloring needed, mainly adding a few shades of brown to the cookies and white gel pen highlights. I did add a little color, texture and realism to the card by layering a red checkered napkin under the cookie jar, wrapping the points around to the inside of the card and taping them down. Can you pass me a cookie please?!
One added note- The designer/owner of Imagine That, Kris Breach, provides her DTs with a coupon code that allows friends a discount on their next digi order. If you stop by the shop I know that you'll find lots of digis you'll want to add to your collection. Then, make sure to enter your card into this months challenge with an "Anything Goes" theme for a chance to win a $12 coupon to the Imagine That Digistamp shop.
Sadly, the December 5 - Jan 1 challenge will be IT’s LAST challenge until further notice.  We'll be taking a break in 2020, however, Kris is keeping the shop open and you can catch up with DT makes in our FB Group!  So we do hope to see you around in 2020!!

Was so fun to create my second card for the second half of Double D’s Challenge- 12 Days of
Christmas. And this time I thought a bit outside of the box… with the help from a wonderful
freebie from Beccy Muir. I LOVE the fun spirit in her free 8 Maids a Milking image. And… by
spirits I don’t mean the liquid kind! Even though, at first glance I wondered just what was
in those glasses they are holding high. (In my defense, I have worked in drug and alcohol
prevention for over 30 years… AND live in Wisconsin, which was just recognized for having
7 of the 10 “most drunkest” cities in the nation. Yes… Yikes! Sadly, I have job security. But I
digress! ) Then I noticed that several were also holding Christmas cookies so they are
toasting the completion of a hard day at work with milk and cookies. Yay!
I trimmed the colored image and adhered it to the front of a premade Christmas card, which
is from a box of 10 cards that was 90% off at Goodwill last Spring! The sentiments on the
front and inside are computer generated… with the help of my funny hubby. We tried to
include the saying “fresh squeezed” somewhere… but it just didn’t fit in. Still we had lots of
giggles and a few guffaws when coming up with the greeting. Funny fun! (The card also
includes the sentiment inside “Tis the Season” which was on the inside of the boxed card. I
liked the bit of color it adds. Lastly, I also decorated the front and inside sentiments
with stickers I picked up at Hobby Lobby.
I’m entering this card in additional challenges including Scribbles Designs: Favorite
Christmas Symbol (I love Christmas Trees and related holiday Greenery) and Beccy’s Place
(although I’m just playing along for FUN since I’ve one of Beccy’s Contributors.)

  4. Love the cookie jar Kathy, the red and white gingham looks fabulous with the kraft. You did a wonderful job highlighting sections of the image.
Milk and cookies and laughs with the girls is a recipe for a fun afternoon Kathy... although I must admit that I would more than like substitute coffee for the milk! Love your card, you and hubby have done a great job working up the sentiment. Well done!
    Cheers,
    Beccy
