Santa Claws

For this week's challenge at QKR Stampede I made a card using a Eureka digi image (ES-digi 8805 Big n Little Cat Digital Stamp) that you can find at stamponit.net. I colored the sweet image with Spectrum Noir markers and white gel pen. Turned the image into a Christmas scene, with the excited little "Kitty" hiding behind his older sibling while excitedly meeting "Santa Claws." I made the background with paper scraps that I muted with a strip of vellum so that the kitty pair will take center stage. The front sentiment is hand-lettered and the inside sentiment is computer generated.  I decorated both with little sprigs of holly that I fussy cut from one of the paper scraps.

This entry for Beccy's Place Sixth Annual Month of Holiday Cards is for a very unusual challenge. This is how Beccy explains it, "It's another bonus challenge day, and this time we're going to choose one of our own cards to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit). Go back through your photos and find an old card that you enjoyed making, then reproduce it, editing or copying whatever parts you wish." I really had fun with this. Found a card that I'd made last December with a snowman image from Bugaboo and remade it with one of Beccy's freebies,  an adorable little bear named Miss Penelope [find her here- beccysplace.blogspot.com/2009/11/printable-1_21.htmlThe sentiment on the front of the card is from Beccys Place digi set named "True Beauty" and the inside greeting is a freebie from Desert Diva (desertdiva-hannelie.blogspot.com)

Have been having fun making cards for a few of the Outlawz challenges. This is the first one that I've created for the Sunday Challenge named " Songs and Rhymes." This weeks song is "Somewhere over the rainbow" and my card highlights the line "Blue birds fly over the rainbow…" although this sweet little Precious Moments bluebird is taking a break. The little bird stamp is from Stampendous and the birdhouse die is from Paper Smooches. The sentiment is computer generated.

  2. Those are some cute kitties Kathy! Love the little one peering out from behind his older sibling, too cute. I like the play on words on the inside of your card too.
Your CASE card, and it's original, are both fabulous, love the design. It was a great idea to do a little bit of paper piecing on the main image and then repeat the colours and patterns inside your card. Makes for a lovely cohesive project.
The tiny little bluebird on your third card is gorgeous! What a little cutie pie. I really like the layout of this project, the big birdhouses look great hanging in front of the patterned paper and I like how you've positioned the little bird on the sentiment panel.
    Cheers,
    Beccy
