This entry for Beccy's Place Sixth Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge inspired by the letter "E" is Evergreen. After creating the background with scrapbook paper layered atop black cardstock [for stability] I attached a delicate ornament, printed onto vellum, on the front of the card. [The ornament, a freebie named Christmas Bauble 1, can be found here- beccysplace.blogspot.com/2010/11/christmas-bauble-1.html] The sentiment on the front of the card is from a Lili of the Valley set named "Christmas Wishes" and the sentiment on the inside is from Beccy's Place digi set "Tied Up With String."

Wanted to make another card for the Bugaboo Stamps Anything Goes challenge with these two Bugaboo images, KIDZ LOVE and Comfy Chair. I made the background using scraps from my stash and instructions found here- stampinpretty.com/2016/01/strips-of-love-blossoms-valentine-card.html) To keep the chair from getting lost in all the pattern, I sandwiched an oval of vellum between the two. The sentiments are computer generated and the final touch on the front and inside are a few puffy heart stickers.

Your vellum ornament is gorgeous Kathy, it was a great idea to "hang" it from an evergreen bough too. Using the vellum has given the bauble a beautiful frosted glass look.
ReplyDeleteYour second card is wonderful, the image is so cute and the sentiments are really heartfelt. Lovely work.
Cheers,
Beccy
I would like to try that ornament printed on vellum. It looks like glass. Both are very pretty cards.
