It's Wednesday! So time for another challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge Blog. . Penny's challenges are always Anything Goes and prizes are awarded from one or more sponsors. Stop Fred She Said image named "Snowlady- Light Up Your Holidays." I colored her with Spectrum Noir, except for the color halos around the light bulbs which were added with chalks. Finished with some white gel pen highlights, plus tapped a few shades of grey around the Snowlady to help her stand out from the white background. The sentiment on the front of the card is from a Beccy's Place digi set named "Seasonal Windows" and the inside sentiment is a freebie from Desert Diva [desertdiva-hannelie.blogspot.com]

I love snowflakes. Have lots of snowflake punches, and stickers and stamps. So I love to see snow challenges start popping up. This week's Simon Says Wednesday Challenge is "Let it Snow." I created an elegant card using dark regal colors, a scrap of white mulberry paper, a Denami snowflake stamp and a PSX Sentiment. For the inside, I used a wonderful snowflake story that I've had in my files for many year. Am entering this card into several challenges including Bugaboo BINGO [using the diagonal from upper left to lower right, sentiment/embossing/sparkle.]

You don't see many snowfolks with "hair" Kathy! What a cute image, and you've done a brilliant job with the colouring. Love the glowing bulbs, the effect of the chalk is wonderful. I really like the grey that you've dotted in around the image, it does help to pop her up from the background.
ReplyDeleteYour zigzag card is wonderful. Again, you've done a really great job colouring the image. The holly is particularly good, and if I remember correctly, you knocked my socks off last time you coloured holly as well. I love how you add the white pen on the leaves and berries, it just gives the image a wonderful lift. Great job!
Cheers,
Beccy
