My final entry for the current PINK
challenge at Double D features a coffee themed card that I gave to my sweet
hubby this year for Valentine's Day. He is the coffee brewer at our home… and he
makes an amazing cuppa! I love the building digis from Scribbles Designs and had
fun decorating this Café with coffee papers from a 6x6 Echo Park pad (that is
sadly no longer available.)
I’m entering this card into several challenges including the Path Of Positivity Challenge- the optional twist
in the current challenge is Celebrate Something Special about my family or a
specific family member. My hubby has been my best friend for 46 years and my
spouse for 44, is my personal comedian (he truly has the best wit of anyone I’ve
ever known!) He is an MD (Internal Medicine) but had to close his practice in 1987 for health
issues. Today, he is moving through the final stage of MS. Yet, in
spite of the many challenges he has faced, and new ones he faces daily, he has a positive attitude and unwavering faith. If you can’t tell, I kinda like the guy!), Cupcake Inspirations- any Café that I frequent regularly has both coffee
AND cupcakes!, and the Outlawz Saturday Paper Ala Mode Challenge-I’m looking forward to the day when I can, once again, meet
friends for coffee and cupcakes and give a hug of greeting and/or a hug at goodbye! (I’m a hugger, which is one more thing I miss because of COVID.)

The Valentine's Day card you made for your hubby is awesome Kathy, I just love the black and white with the pops of bright pink. It definitely has a Parisian feel to it. I'm totally with you on the cupcakes too... any decent cuppa needs a decent sweet treat to go along with it!
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas card is beautiful! I LOVE the idea of using the wood panelling in the background... just like the rustic stable in the nativity story. The stars you added are lovely too, particularly the sparkly ones.
Cheers,
Beccy

Your baby Jesus Christmas card is so lovely. I appreciated the story you shared of your husbands medical struggles and the reference to the strength of his faith. It made this religious themed card even more special. My Mum used to say it wasn't a true Christmas card unless it had a religious theme. She would have loved this card too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part in the Rudolph Days Challenge.
