Time to Party!

This sweet Bugaboo digi is my second entry into the current entry at the Double D Challenge. I usually don’t use such a bright color palette… but it’s for a Party! And, parties also require some bling… so I dug into my sequin stash and sprinkled them across the card and sentiment. Yay!

A Perfect Time to Craft 2020-Anything Goes- Challenge #2-2020

I always enjoy the weekly challenges at Power Poppy because they often really do challenge me! The final challenge for January was to create a card that was inspired by a work of fine art. I knew I wanted to create something floral for a Valentine card. After some productive googling, I found a wonderful painting of dogwood branches by an artist named Leona Jones. (I included a photo of the painting with its lovely white blossoms, plus HERE is the link if you want to see more of Leona’s artwork.) I remembered that I have a Power Poppy digis with dogwood blossoms… so printed off a copy and got to work. The details on the painting helped me to get realistic looking blooms on my card.  I am entering this card into several other challenges including The Butterfly Challenge (my card includes the following Colors: riffle green, and raspberry in the butterfly wings, and Themes: ribbon, raised up letters with foam tape and butterflies)

My final card for this posting is a simple, yet lovely, card. I’ve had this sentiment set for many years and love the saying in the elegant font. Decided to make a simple card for Valentine’s Day using one of the sentiments and items from my stash. Am entering this card into several challenges including Outlawz Songs and Rhymes (some people might think that the sentiment sounds silly. I am a definite romantic… so love when my sweet hubby says such things to me, even if in a silly voice!)
Supplies:
·    Sentiment- Romantic Sentiments Set from JustRite Stampers (no longer in business)
·    Heart template, plaid paper, flowers and yellow brads (for the flower centers)- from my scrapbook stash.
