It’s Friday, so time
for another challenge at QKR Stampede! Stop by the challenge, which is always
“Anything Goes” and several prizes are awarded. Maybe you’ll be inspired to
enter a card or two yourself? My DT card features a QKR digital image named Snowman Scene. It resembles what I see when I look outside
here in Wisconsin today. Except, it if bitter cold (40 below zero wind chills
tonight so I am getting tired of winter!) The inside sentiment is from Eureka
Stamps and the snowflake embellishments are fussy-cut from the background paper.
Supplies:
· Digi-
QKR Digital Stamp (Snowman Scene Q-digi23501)
· Inside Sentiment- Eureka
Stamps (Warm Today ES-digi5102)
· Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly
Roll white gel pen
· Background papers
from my stash

Friday also means that
I get to share DT cards for the Colour Crazy Challenge. This challenge is
also an “Anything Goes” but if adds a requirement- the creation needs to
include coloring in “any colouring medium you like, onto any project you like,
and in any colours you like.” I’ve never outgrown my love for coloring… which is
why making cards is stress therapy for me!! Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo
and I enjoyed creating a card that
features a fun image and sentiment. I cut the sentiment into two pieces so
I could use it on the front and back. The background for the card is created with
assorted office themed stickers and papers from my scrapbook stash. The Smead
label is upcycled from a box of file folders and the Rolodex card is
"authentic." (I'm old enough to remember when we used such things
because we didn't have computers, or cell phones... or even cable TV! I can actually
identify with the confusion that Stella feels on this digi. So funny!)
Supplies:
· Digi image and
sentiment- Bugaboo (Stella Tidbits-Hard Drive)
· Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly
Roll white gel pen
· Assorted background
papers, stickers, and office themed items from my stash

My final card for this post is a CAS Valentine
card that went together really quickly. I used a vintage wood-mount stamp from a
company named Embossing Arts. Many of the first stamps I ever owned are from EA
and I have always liked their variety and details. I wanted a monochromatic
card so I used rust-colored ink on light
peach-colored paper. Used a Fiskars decorative edged scissors (remember those?!)
to trim this image and adhered it onto a card made of dark orange mulberry
paper which adds some nice texture. I was going to add a bit of color to the
stamped image but decided that I kinda liked the clean simplicity of the plain
image.
PS- I had fun creating this card for the current Do-Al[l] Kreatives challenge where two DT members each provided a prompt and we had to use both in our design- Feminine/Female
+ monochrome/Monochromatic.
Supplies:
· Valentines Image- Embossing
Arts Wood-mount stamp (company is no longer in business)
·
Front Sentiment “Happy Valentine’s Day”- Hero
Arts (retired)
· Ink and assorted
background papers from my stash
· Fiskars Decorative
Edge Scissors- Victorian
