myasperations 3-21-24

This month’s challenge at  Sheepski Designs is “Anything Goes and my DT card features a wonderful image from artist Andrea Norris named, “Wappits.” (How fun is that name?!)  I found free sheet music on the web to provide a fun background. I found the photo captions at a thrift store many years ago. They provided the perfect touch of humor to my card. Lastly, the eggs on the inside of the card were fussy-cut from patterned paper to add some COLOR!

Supplies:

·   Digi- Sheepski Designs (Wappits)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Sheet Music- “Here Comes Peter Cottontail” a freebie from HERE

·   Inside Sentiment- “Happy Easter Everybunny” is computer generated

·   Pioneer Black Photo corners- available from several sources

·   Patterned Paper, Photo Captions, and oother items from my stash.

This sweet digi from Sweet November Stamps was the February freebie in their monthly newsletter. I had fun creating a bright and cheerful card to celebrate the arrival of Spring (which we hope shows up here in our part of the country soon. I mean… hopefully right after the two blizzards forecasted in the coming week!)
I’m entering this card into several challenges including Outlawz Sunday Challenge: Dear Swing (the blue sky background on my card makes me think of all the times I felt like I was reaching for the sky when swinging on the playground. It was always a rush!)
Supplies:
·   Digi- Sweet November Stamps (Rainbow Fairy)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Upcycled calendar page.

·   Front Sentiment “Happy Day”- a freebie from maxammadestudio.com

·   Inside Sentiment- “The Sky’s the Limit” From an Imagine That Digi set (Sadly, company is no longer in business)

·   All other items from my stash.

I was happy to discover the ABC Christmas Challenge a few months ago, partly because I love celebrating Christmas all year long!
The current challenge focuses on the letters E, F, and G, so these two little gingerbread cuties is so adorable that they deserve to be placed front and center. (This digi is from a talented artist. Dina Gerner, who closed her Digi Doodles shop a while ago. I was glad to learn that she still sells stamps, now the clear variety, in a web-based shop named Ink n Splatter Stamps.) The humorous front sentiment is from a Beccy’s Place digi set.  (An exciting note, Beccy Muir, artist/owner of Beccy’s Place, is holding a retirement sale of several digi sets for 50% off (meaning that this set is just $3 US!). Besides this set, I have several others, so I’ll be posting cards made with them between now and March 31st. Check the sale listing out HERE!) The inside sentiment is from a wonderful Christmas set from WeAre3. (Sadly, I just discovered that owner Bonnie Kohane closed her WeAre3  Etsy shop last November. I was happy to see that Bonnie hosts a FB page, Bonnie Kohane Craft Time ,where she offers a weekly freebie… plus provides a friendly and supportive place to “meet”! Since I recently retired, I plan to stop in there often!
 Supplies:
·   Digi- Digi Doodle Digi Stamp (Gingerbread Kids) (Digi images are no longer available, but clear stamp sets available HERE.)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Front Sentiment- “Christmas? Bring it on” from a Beccy’s Place Digi Set (Finns Scarf)

·   Inside Sentiment-“ Wishing you…”  from a WeAre3 Christmas Sentiment Set (Sadly, this wonderful Etsy Shop is closed)

·   Digital Sentiments (Christmas)

·   Sentiments- Computer Generated

·   Pioneer Clear Photo corners- available from several sources

·   Gold photo corners available from several web sources (WXJ13 Photo Mounting Corners)

I really like the way you've put the gingerbread card together, they look very cute tucked behind the sentiment panel. Fabulous card!
