It’s almost Friday- yay!

This is my second entry into the current Art Impressions Challenge named “To Die For” using this wonderful stamp/die/sentiment set named “Winter Window.”  Instead of the usual three “levels” (like the card I posted on Monday- HERE)  I created used a basic A2 card fold, with the window shutters on the inside of the card! The scene out of the window is upcycled from a calendar (the back page that includes miniature photos off each month's page.) I used vellum on the curtains to represent the yellow “sheers” that my mom always loved in our kitchen because they allowed more sunlight to brighten the room.  I added a bit of shading on the sheers and bows with a grey marker and highlighted the lace and bows with a white gel pen.

Supplies:
·   Clear stamps, dies and inside sentiment- Art Impressions Set (Winter Window)
·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·   Assorted cardstock, patterned papers and yellow vellum from my stash
·   Upcycled calendar page·
·   Front and inside Sentiments from Power Poppy’s digi set (Autumns Opulence)
Entered into:
Art Impressions- To Die For
Word Art Wednesday Challenge- #456-457 Anything Goes
The Sisterhood of Crafters- Autumn Inspiration
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends- #141 Anything Goes
Bugaboo Stamps-Anything Goes
Power Poppy- Creative Confetti- Free For All

This fun digi from Beccy’s Place, named Disco Fever, always makes me smile. In spite of her aging body (I especially love her arm “flaps” because I possess a matching pair!) the beauty can dance! And the inside sentiment, from the digi set, is a hoot. (A few of us here in the upper Midwest of the USA actually say "a hoot"! And this digi really fits that exclamation!)
I’m entering this card into several other challenges including Do-Al[l] Kreatives #46 Inspired by a Song (actually several songs, Disco Fever, Staying Alive and Dancing Queen.)

Supplies:
·   Digi and inside sentiment- Beccys Place Digi set (Disco Fever)
·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

Since I’m a DT for Beccy’s Place (sponsor), I’m entering just for fun!

My final card for this posting was created for the current Butterfly Challenge and features a Curtain Fold (which is really pretty easy to make using the instructions that Mrs. A provides on her challenge.) The sentiment is one that I’ve had on my laptop for some time. I don’t know the source and couldn’t find it via numerous web searches. So… if you recognize it, please let me know so I can give proper credit.
I’m entering the card into several other challenges including Ching-Chou Kuik’s current Challenge, Think Pink for Breast Cancer (I used a Ching-Chou Kuik digi images named “Come Softly” and included some pink on the card-curtain fold, background flowers, and some deep pink in her hair.) Since the background flowers also have a vintage flavor, I can also enter it into the current Cute As A Button challenge.

  10. Absolutely beautiful Kathy, you've done a great job on all your cards. I like the yellow curtains on the first card, and the wonderful little scene you added on the inside of the card. I love the idea of hanging sheer yellow curtains at the kitchen window to make the room sunnier.
Great job on the upright diamond fold card, Kathy, I love the design. You chose a great paper for the background too, it reminds me of a disco ball!
Your final card is fabulous, the blue butterfly is very pretty and coordinates perfectly with the sentiment on the inside. Lovely work!
    Cheers,
    Beccy
