I love the Upright
Diamond Fold that was provided on the Beccy’s Place Blog. It is so easy to make
that I quickly folded two of them for these cards. The first features a beautiful
digi named Esmie the Gypsy, which is the freebie this month at the Cute As A
Button Progressive Challenge on FB. I colored Esmie with Spectrum Noir alcohol
markers, attached her to the front of the folded card, and added some bling.
The inside sentiment, a favorite scripture verse, is from a favorite freebie
site. Check it out, I bet you’ll find lots of treasures!

I made my
second card with this fun fold for a sweet friend. Ashley has been working long
hours during COVID shutdowns at the agency where I work. Since I
know she loved Harry Potter, I thought she’d enjoy this card, and especially
the inside sentiment. Lately, as we try to enforce mask-wearing and other precautions/restrictions, we do seem to deal with lots of muggles!
Supplies:
·
Digi- Harry Potter- freebie from skogstokiga.blogspot.com
(options change occasionally so this might no longer be available)
·
Colored with Spectrum
Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
· Inside Sentiment-

My last card features
a digi that so beautifully reflects the colors I see when I look out of my window.
My dear hubby and I moved to Wisconsin about a dozen years ago, and we NEVER
get tired of the eruption of rich colors every autumn. Artist Jan Mahew is sponsoring
the current Outlawz Progressive Challenge, generously donating this amazing image
and sentiments to all participants. I really enjoyed coloring the leaves,
striving to match the colors in the leaves across the street. I attached a
photo to prove their beautiful deep orange coloring. An upcycled calendar page, twine, and burlap
help add a rustic feeling to the card.
Supplies:
·
Digi and sentiments- Jan’s Digi Stamps (Signs of Autumn)
·
Colored with Spectrum
Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·
Assorted background papers and upcycled calendar page from my stash
·

Hi Kathy all your cards are gorgeous. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteGreat cards, Kathy! The upright diamond fold is unusual and very effective. I love that you use old calendar pages as your backgrounds, and this one is perfect for Jans Signs of Autumn image. Great job on colouring the leaves, look just like your tree outside.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing what next month's image brings.

I've tried many of Beccy's folds but I haven't had a go at this one yet. I like the way you layered up the card so the image is framed when the card is closed. Thanks for entering the Girls, Girls, Girls Challenge at Incy Wincy Designs.
ReplyDeleteFun card. Love the unique fold. Thanks so much for entering your project into our latest challenge over at Pattie's Creations. Good luck in the draw.
