2 DT Cards + 1 Lion

Since it’s the first of the month, I am sharing my DT card for the September  Sheepski Designs Challenge. This month’s theme is “Add Layers” and I had fun using a Christmas digi named “Mini-Tree.” After coloring the image, I printed off a few copies of the tree and added a bit of color. I fussy-cut one of the trees, trimming the ends of the branches to look like pine “needles.” After attaching it atop the other image with foam tape, I wrapped a bit of twine around the two and taped it down to the underside. A few strips of scrapbook border stickers attached to the corners adds a bit of color and whimsy. So fun!
PS Stop by the Sheepski blog to learn more about the monthly challenges. Maybe you’ll be inspired to enter a card or two yourself and have a chance to win some wonderful digis created by artist Andrea Norris!

The 1st of the month also finds me making another DT card, this time for the challenge at QKR Stampede. This time I used two Halloween digis from  Eureka Stamps. I especially like the vellum ghost!  Stop by the challenge, which is always “Anything Goes” and several prizes are awarded. Maybe you’ll be inspired to enter a card or two yourself?
A few months ago I tried to make a Zig-Zag card and it didn’t work out very well. However, I learned that I could create an interesting slimline card with just one section of the card. So… I purposefully made a partial Zig Zag card to showcase this fun ghost digi. When printed on vellum, the ghost looks adorable on the front of the card… and, when you open the card, it looks like the ghost is peeking at you! The wonderful starry background paper is part of a bundle of freebies from Polkadoodles (grab it now as it was first posted on the 4th of July and I don’t know how long it will be free!) I fussy-cut some of the stars to decorate the inside sentiment. So fun!

My last card this post features an adorable lion digi from Bugaboo. I perched him atop a “brick wall” (compliments of scrapbook paper) and added a simple birthday sticker sentiment. I think this will qualify as a CAS card since it has quite a bit of white space… at least for me!
