Slim cards are all the rage right now, so I sized this digi to fit a regular sized envelope, and colored it in rich, Victorian colors. I layered the colored trio atop a scrap of light grey geometric paper and royal blue cardstock. The final sparkly touch was to add a few whimsical snowflakes to frame the card front and the inside sentiment.

I’ve always loved Gerber Daisies (even more than roses!) so I was thrilled to see that freebie at Patties Creations this month is a beautiful Gerber Daisy. I decided to create a background with rows of the flowers, adding larger daisies that I’d fussy-cut and then adhered to white circles. Light grey shading plus shouts of bright yellow were added to the card with strips of vellum, alcohol markers, and a splattering of holographic gold sequins. I love the bright and fresh feeling of the finished card!

Both of your Christmas cards are so lovely. I like the idea of the colour only on the greenery and prezzies. Makes them stand out so much!
ReplyDeleteThe second card looks great with those adorable penguins. The slim card style looks good here. Just made my first slim card...they are sure fun to make!
