I made two cards this week, one from each
sponsor. My first DT card features a beautiful swallowtail
butterfly from Fred She Said. I created a shadow box base to showcase the butterfly,
colored with vibrant colors, against a floral backdrop made with an upcycled
calendar page. Foliage die cuts, silk flowers, and a sentiment tag finishes the
card, which folds flat to fit into a standard A2 envelope.

My second DT card for Penny’s Paper
Crafty Challenge features a sweet little student from Paper Nest Dolls. Her
name is Maddie and she is all ready to go o school… when that is once again
allowed! I raided my scrapbook stash of paper, stickers, and back to school
theme borders to decorate the card that is sure to brighten some little girls
first day back to school.

A friend is having a baby in a few months. I offered to make their announcements,
so am creating an assortment of cards from which they can pick their favorite.
This is the second option… so far! The image is a freebie that was fun to
color. I added a few computer-generated sentiments, paper pieced the little cuties
blanket to add some pattern to the gatefold card, and drew stitches with a white
gel pen. (I did add a sentiment on the inside of this card, but if my friend
chooses this card, I’ll leave the inside blank so they have room to attach a
printed announcement.)
