Vintage Ride plus More

Created a card that is CAS and included masking, to enter at AAA Card Challenges. This is even a single layer card… which is not my usual style. Maybe this CAS stuff is wearing off on me? Love this cute image from Cat’s Meow set, Vintage Rides. The banner and sentiment comes with the set, but the tin cans are hand made by little ol' moi. Stamped the banner and car, the made a mask (with the windows cut out... that was a challenge!) so that I could add the little Stampendous trio of trees stamp. Also added a post it mask for the ground. It was a little bit of a complicated process, but I do like the results!

Used an old “I love teaching” stamp, I think from Commotion, to make another card for the Simon Says School/Study related challenge. Fussy cut the letters out for the title piece and mounted them on several layers of colored papers. The papers used include olive, blue and purple so am also entering it into Deep Ocean Challenge.

The current Bugaboo challenge includes a photo of a family on a picnic. I used several scrapbook items, added some additional shading with my Tombow markers and highlighting with a white gel pen to give them depth, and stamped a splattering of tiny ants. Cloud scrapbook paper filled in the sky, and I fussy cut light green grass to complete the background. The sentiment is one of the many freebies from http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com/ (PS- the basket is attached with foam mounting tape to add more depth to the card.)

I have more than a dozen old roller stamps from SU that I never used. Recently found instructions on Pinterest for turning them into stamps that I can use with my MISTI. Was much easier to get a nice image this way. So… will be converting them over to border stamps. This is the first one I’m sharing. Expect more in the future.

    1. Thanks, Lorraine. I am so excited that my name was chosen. Sent an email to learn about claiming the certificate, then spent some time this afternoon creating and recreating my wish list! In the process I discovered how many wonderful companies SS carries. Amazing!
