Made another card using a little glittery guitar (dollar store find) for this week’s Simon Says Monday Challenge. Added a glittery pink star and a sentiment to match. The background is flocked with velvet, and the satin ribbon adds great texture to this fun card. Plus, it was quick and easy to put together.

Oh my! I am on a steep learning curve with alcohol markers. I totally messed up on this little bunnies left ear (the pink ink bled into the gray at several places) and feet (in real life they have an odd yellowish/orangish tint to them. Looks a bit moldy!) The more I tried to fix them... the worse they got. So... since it's a digi, just cropped and printed the ear and feet again. Colored them (did a better job this time!) Cut off the ear and replaced it with the new one, then attached the feet on top of the dark ones with mounting tape- so they stick out a bit. Whew! Added the finished image to a background layered with paper lace and ribbon, and added a sentiment tag from Lili of The Valley. (The bunny image is from Di's Digis and I used the blender pen to add the speckled look to his fur. So fun!)

This week’s AAA Card challenge requires Autumn Colors. Decided to use one of my favorite colors, deep wine burgundy, as the base card. Here is Wisconsin the fall provides a gorgeous SHOUT of color. And some of the trees, I think it is one type of Maple, have leaves in this deep, rich color. They really make a beautiful background for the yellows, golds and orange leaves that just POP! I stamped floral images in other autumn colors, especially the vibrant black-eyed Susan. Am looking forward to the next few weeks. Also entering the card into Simon Says Wednesday Challenge that requires a CAS card.

I'm hosting the Monday Challenge at the wecraftcards forum this week where the focus is creating a card with a sentiment (or words) as the main focal point. Love this Subway Art image from TLC Challenge (http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com) I printed it off on vellum, then mounted it on dark cardstock with a pink heart to highlight the word "life". Used clear photo corners to make sure none of the words are covered. The sentiment on the inside of the card, printed on my computer reads, "And remember, YOU are loved with an EVERLASTING love!"
