Picnic Fun plus more

Another picnic card for the current Bugaboo challenge. Again, I used several scrapbook items, added some additional shading with my Tombow markers and highlighting with a white gel pen to give them depth, and stamped a splattering of tiny ants. Cloud scrapbook paper filled in the sky, and I fussy cut light green grass to complete the background. The sentiment is another of the many freebies from http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com/  (PS- the basket is attached with foam mounting tape to add more depth to the card.)

A final CAS card to enter at AAA Card Challenges. This adorable image is actually a very special one. A friends daughter, Jessica, who liked to draw, passed away from cancer when she was nine years old. A while ago, my friend had one of Jessica’s drawings made into a stamp. I was honored when she asked me to create some cards for her using the image. I’d stamped extra copies which have been in my stash. For this card, I colored the image, then made a heart shaped mask and lightly sponged pink ink around the sweet image.

Had fun making a simple card for that includes krafty brown and white. Used a small image from an old SU set, a border punch, a scrap of ribbon and white photo corners from my stash. Oh... and the background is the inside of an herbal tea box. I do love to upcycle!

Love this Joan of Arc sentiment from a coloring page discovered here- http://eighteen25.com/2017/02/born-to-do-this-coloring-page/ Made it into a card for the Simon Says School/Study related challenge. Am giving it to one of my staff members who is starting a new adventure called “Senior year in High School.” She is excited… and has such a great future ahead of her. Think that she will like this! (Especially the two little blingy butterflies. That girl does like her bling!)

  4. I love all your cards. The Joan of Arc quote is perfect for a student entering their senior year. It can be scary to realize it's your last year in high school and a whole new chapter of life will unfold before you upon graduation. It's perfect and I love the colors you've chosen. Thanks for joining us on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
