Cards for three seasons

Won a challenge at Tiddly Inks a few months ago and this was one of the stamps I chose with my gift card. The little girl’s name is Wryn and I love how the stamps often show her playful side. This is a prime example of that! I can almost hear- and feel-  that wonderful crunch of leaves and smell their earthy fragrance when I look at this card. Found the poem on Pinterest… and thought it was a perfect match for our little leaf plunderer!
I'll share the poem here, so that you can easily read it- "The sky is falling down upon your head. The sky is falling yellow, brown and red. The sky will soon cover every bit of ground Making a quilt of yellow, red and brown." Jean Warren

Received this adorable pair of snow buddies in a stamped image swap a few years ago. Discovered it, along with several others, when doing some deep dive organizing in my craft room this past weekend. Using it on a CAS card helped to keep the focus on these sweet little faces instead of fancy embellishments. I mean, how can anything hope to compete with the look on that little penguin's face as he encounters the smiling snowball?! (Oh my… I think I am becoming a true CAS fan! Whoever woulda thunk it?!)

My sweet hubby surprised me with this card last fall. Actually, I had put it on our Amazon wish list… but didn’t realize that he bought it for me until I found it leaning against a mug of steaming coffee one crisp October day! I had just gotten a MISTI and loved how easy I could stamp clear images of this postcard sized stamp. (It is actually called “Snowy Postcard” from Stampendous.) I love how quickly I can create a stunning card with this stamp. (I showed a close up so that you can see the glittery fluff that decorates the card. Finally invested in some white flower soft and like the texture it adds. Mixed some ultrafine glitter to it before adhering to the card to add the glistening look of snow.)

This free digi was actually a gift card given out by an artist at a going-away party. I loved the scripture verse and have always loved fireflies (you’ll find them on many cards on my blog). I made this digi into a center flap card. highlighted their lit little bums with a circle stencil and yellow chalk on a Q-tip, then added a bit of glitter for fun! (You can find the digi here http://courtneydefeo.com/the-brightest-lights-in-orlando/)
