Yummy Cool Treat!

One more card for Simon Says- Food and/or Drink challenge. Made this one with paper scraps and a favorite sentiment that I printed from my computer. A card that was fun to make and went together very quickly! But... not I am really craving ice cream.

This afternoon I made more ice cream cards. This time I was inspired by an ice cream cone shape that was part of the packaging for ribbons. Used it to make three cards with very different looks. The cone for each was made with my scoring board.

The first, is for a CAS challenge that focuses on Summer Fun. Hearing the ice cream truck is one of my favorite childhood memories of summer! As soon as my five siblings and I heard the music playing from the loudspeakers in the next block, we grabbed our allowance and ran to meet it at the corner. Such fun! (I included a photo of the card with the template, and then just the card alone (which I'll enter into the challenge link.)

The second is for a challenge that required the use of mostly tans and browns, plus texture. (The cone has texture, plus the doily and satin ribbon.) Also, as much as I like chocolate ice cream, I have to admit that this doesn’t look very appetizing. I had to redo it several times because it kept looking like those awful poop emojis!

The last is for a challenge that required the use of three layers, plus hot pink and scallops. (Note- I also had to redo this one when I realized that I had more too many layers. However, like scoops of ice cream, I wonder if you really can ever have too many?!)
