Weekend Card Binge- Part 3

My final entries from my stamping frenzy this weekend. Tomorrow, I’ll start working on the newly posted challenges for this week! Hope to not fall so far behind again. I like to try to do a few hours of stamping every evening. Therapy, you know!

This is one of my favorite Bugaboo digis. You’ll see me use it often! This time I used both the sweet unicorn and the rainbow/cloud image that is part of the set. Colored the mane and tail with alcohol markers, schmered them with my Zig 2-way glue pen and poured on a healthy dose of sparkles. (Actually, this isn’t craft glitter. It is actually a little container of glitterly pinky-purpley eyeshadow that I found for a buck at Walgreens some time ago. I love how it REALLY sparkles!) Am entering it into the current Bugaboo Bingo challenge, bottom row “Bugaboo image + sparkle + sentiment”.

I used to make a lot of cards with Stampscapes images. Need to start doing that again because they are always impressive and actually fairly easy to do. This card, which I am entering into a few challenges, including Victorine “On Wings” challenge, includes Stampscapes three geese silhouettes and tall grass images that I stamped onto a photo of a South Dakota sunset. Added a sentiment that I found somewhere years ago. Thought it was a perfect fit to the trio of geese image.

This card, ala Shabby Chic style, is made from some lace that is at least 50 years old. It came from one of my mom’s craft stashes that I saved from the trash bin when she passed away 7 years ago. Although parts of the lace are deteriorating, it is precious to me. In this card I just covered those threadbare patches with flowers, which added to the delicate beauty of the lace.  (I know that my mom would have loved seeing a bit of her lace collection displayed on this vintage looking card.)

This last card is being entered into a few challenges. One, Poppy Power, requires that the card  is made from stamps from two sets. This card is made from a retired set of holliday borders from Stamping Up (I think from the late 90’s!) and a sentiment from a Printworks Thanksgiving set. (I’ve always loved the playful look of their dot lettering sentiments!) I am already getting into the mood for fall, so am hoping that this card pushes the season along! The Cute Card Thursday challenge is titled “Fun in the Sun”. I love being outside on crisp sunny fall days. Ah…. One order of warm apple cider, please!

    1. Thanks, Billie. I had noted that at the very bottom of my post. It was the bottom row of the bingo options: “Bugaboo image + sparkle + sentiment”.
