Weekend Card Binge- Part 1

Since I didn’t get much time to create this week as I had a federal grant report to write and a ton of meetings at the office. So… finally got to play in my craft room this weekend. Here are a few of the cards that were the result of my craft therapy!

Simon Says Monday’s current challenge has a nautical theme. I dug through my stamps and was surprised to find several stamps that I forgot I had!  Poppy Power’s Mix and Match challenge fits in here, too, as I used stamps from two company’s- a Stampendous Rope ‘n Anchor frame and old, old, old Commotion lighthouse scene stamp. Finished it off with a touch of silver on the anchor and a blue vellum “mask” to highlight the lighthouse and sweet little sailboats.

The current Art Impression Challenge requires that the card includes purple and orange color combo.
Since I like to color Eunice with ginger hair, she is the perfect fit for this card. I made it into a Halloween card and decked her out in the colors of that holiday! (Note, because Eunice is a fashion diva, I had punched some orange earrings to match her blouse. Even tried to make them into little pumpkins. But, they were way too large... even for Eunice! So, I used one of them to accent the sentiment, and gave her earrings with bling!

Making white on white cards is a real challenge for me as I prefer color… and lots of it! So, this card took some time to put together. But I kinda like the crisp and clean results.
