Cards for Kiddos

Had so much fun making this card with Tiddly Inks digi image “Petite Q”. Saw a cute definition on Pinterest for Girls that inspired me to create the sentiment on this card, “Princess [noun]- A giggle with bling on it!” Entering it into two color challenges one includes a beautiful range of pastels including lavender and violet, the other focuses on Purple! (You can't see it very well in the photo, but there are actually three different shades of purple, including the bling!)

Another card that uses a Tiddly Inks image (this is one of their freebies!) Created the splattered background by brayering rainbow ink pad onto glossy paper and splattering it with water. Allow to set a bit, dab off excess, allow to dry… and you are ready to use it!

Love this sweet Whimsie Doodles image. Used it on a school themes card last month. Am using it again, this time with a totally different background which I made by upcycling the cover of a book of scrapbook pages. (You can nab this digi image at whimsiedoodles.blogspot.com for FREE!)

I have never made a steampunk card. But a friend gave me these fun gear stickers a while ago. I hit Pinterest for ideas. Found this sentiment, mounted it on a scrap of background paper from my stash. It includes a few textures, the smooth plastic gears, embossed paper, and staples to hold it all together!
