It’s July! Which means I get
to share my DT card for All Dressed Up (ADU) Stamps monthly FB Challenge. The
June theme is “Wings”, and my easel card features aa beautiful digi named “Flower
Dreams”. As always, artist Wendy Burns added so many details to this little
cutie; large hair braid, lots of little flowers, and one big one… plus all the
wonderful pleats on her little gown. The only thing missing was butterflies, so
I added two of them on the inside sentiment, which will be visible when the easel
card is standing open! Supplies:

Here is another one of
the Father’s Day cards that I included in gift packets that I distributed to my
dentist and optometrists' offices, a nursing home, and the residential drug
treatment facility where I worked for 13 years until my retirement. (The
clients there earn “points” for attending educational sessions, completing
required steps toward recovery, etc., and they love being able to “purchase”
handmade cards to send to loved ones during the 30+ days they are in treatment.) The inspiration for my card is a tie digi I
found on the web, and a sentiment that I’ve had in my files for several
decades.
Supplies:
·
Tie digi from Beyond the Fringe.com HERE (I used their digi as inspiration as my tie is made with scraps)
· Front
Sentiment- Computer generated from a sentiment have had in my files for several
decades. (Original source unknown)
· Inside Sentiment-Computer

Last July, I
discovered a company named Not2Shabby when I won a challenge. For my prize, I
selected a 6x6 paper pack that includes a wonderful assortment of papers and images. I’d
made a few watermelon cards last summer, using the paper pack and a template I
found on Pinterest. (The slices were so easy and fun to make that I made 7 of them in varying sizes and found that I had several slices left. So… just in time for our 4th
of July celebrations, watermelon is what’s
on the menu… the card menu that is!)
The base of the card is an
A2-sized piece of paper. I adhered a strip of bee-laden ribbon across the base,
then topped it with one of the melon slices onto which I had drawn an arc of
heart-shaped “seeds”. When folded in half, this slice holds the inside
sentiment. (I don’t remember ever seeing a card like this, so I’m calling it a “flip
front card”!) A bee trimmed from the ribbon is adhered to the top of the folded
slice. A sentiment and a pair of bees decorate the inside of the slice. Now.. let's enjoy a yummy slice of summer!!
Supplies:
· Template and instructions for making Watermelon slices found HERE
· Ribbon on card base- from the local dollar store.
· Inside Sentiment- “Buzzing by… one in a melon”
from Imagine That (no longer in business)
· Bee embellishments on inside
sentiment are from Beccy’s Place Digi
Set (Bees
and Blooms)
·
Sookwang double-sided tape- Available from several sources on the web.
· Circle Templates, ribbon, and other items from my stash.
