myasperations 1-4-23

I am honored to be a guest designer for the WordArtWednesday Challenge using the current free scripture verse. The card is simple but striking adhered atop layers of coordinating patterned paper (embellished by a few of the hearts fussy-cut from the papers) plus black photo corners.
I’m entering this card into several challenges including Outlawz Sunday Songs and Rhymes (I was inspired by the line “To you we wish the best of things, all the blessings a new year brings.” However, my card speaks of more than the blessings of a new year… but offers the grace gift of a whole new life!)

Supplies:
·   Digi- WordArtWednesday Free Scripture Verse (Titus 3:5)

·   Patterned Paper- Hobby Lobby

·   Pioneer Black Photo corners- available from several sources

·   All other items from my stash.

This adorable snowman is a freebie from Beccy’s Place with a face that warms my heart. I don’t use pre-colored digis very often, but Beccy’s coloring is so very soft and lovely that I just had to use it. The only changes I made to the coloring was to add “texture” to the furry hat with a white gel pen, and details to the bauble and scarf. I then added sparkle to the snowman with a glitter pen, plus a glow of lamplight (compliments of a touch of yellow chalk along his side) the scene comes alive with warm winter magic. So fun!
I’m entering this card into several challenges including Cupcake Inspirations “Winter Fun” (playing in the snow, ie. making  snowpeople/animals, snow tunnels, and having major neighborhood snowball fights, which has always been a favorite winter activity in my family); Inspiration Station (both my card and the inspiration photo include a wintry outdoor scene.)
Note- The background scene is from a digi set that I found after I joined a FB group named "Printables for your Junk Journaling with TLC". The group offers wonderful freebies and affordable digis. (You can check it out HERE!)
Supplies:

·   Snowy Scene from TLC Creations Printable Junk Journal Kit (Home for Winter)

·   Digi-Beccy’s Place Freebie-colored version (Snowman with Bauble)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Front Sentiment- Desert Diva Freebie (hello!)

·   Inside Sentiment- “You Warm my Heart” from Beccy’s Place Digi Set (Christmas Cheers)

·   Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens

·   Pioneer Black Photo corners- available from several sources

·   Puffy Heart Stickers- Sticko’s from WalMart (113 assorted puffy hearts for just 99 cents!)

·   All other items from my stash.

The sweet pup on this cute card, named Patches, was a freebie at Kit & Clowder’s 2022 Advent Calendar Giveaway. I really like the beautiful details that artist Diane Carubia added to this cute digi and decided he would love great atop a vintage Holiday scene upcycled from an old Christmas card. Silver mirror paper, some sparkly stars, sentiments, and a soft pastel color scheme will help to ring in 2022!  (PS If you aren’t familiar with Kit & Clowder, you might want to join their FB page HERE to pick up some great digis, for free or at a reduced price, several times a year.)
Supplies:
·   Digi-Dis Digi-Kit & Clowder Freebie Advent Calendar 2022 (Day 2)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Front background with Sentiment- upcycled card

·   Inside Sentiment- “Celebrate the Season” from Beccy’s Place Set (Christmas Cardinals)

·   All other items from my stash.
