It's August, so it's time to share more cards I've made as a Guest Designer at Beccy's Place. Here are the first two using a fun digi set named, You're a Hoot. I love the sets funny sentiments and the owls all have such different personalities. You can find it here- beccysplace.com/youre-a-hoot-digital-stamps/)
This card is pretty simple. It just required one of the images and sentiments, Spectrum Noir markers, a bit of fussy cutting, and scrap of background paper (actually a scrap of vinyl wallpaper.) Easy and so fun!

This second card using You're a Hoot set took a little more time. I developed a patterned background by reducing and copying one of the owl images to fit on an A2 sized card front. Printed off, colored and fussy-cut a larger image of the owl to be the focal point. Mounted it onto an oval of blue vellum, perched on the sentiment. The inside of the card included another sentiment from the set, plus a cupcake from another Beccy's Digi sets (named Stanley's Birthday, looks like it is retired so you might want to snag the freebie at Beccy's this month. It is a yummy birthday cupcake, too. beccysplace.com) I added circles of yellow vellum behind the flames to provide a little glow!

I love this sweet little Peeker Elf from Bugaboo stamps, especially when he is peeking from behind Bugaboos Comfy Chair digi. I printed the chair on patterned paper, then added shading and highlights to give the digi some shape. The sentiment is from Whimsie Doodles (which, sadly, is no longer available since the shop closed in March.) I am entering this card into the Power Poppy challenge Inspired by Home (because I am sitting in a comfy chair right now that looks similar to the one on this card!), Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge and Happy Little Stamper Christmas.

For this cute card, I used a Bugaboo digi named Chibi Cupcake Peeker, colored with Spectrum Noir markers. I made this card for the current Stella Says Sketch at Bugaboo but instead of a scallop across the top, I made a chevron pattern with striped paper (you can find tutorials here- video (www.pinterest.com/pin/63613413459742975/) or photo version (stampwithbrian.com/?s=make+chevron+pattern+from+striped+paper). The sentiment is a freebie from TLC Creations (createwithtlc.blogspot.com)
